I've missed skating this season - been in countries where the internet speed is too slow for live streaming or YT. Kwanfan has a huge stack of dvd's for me

I've been following avidly, since you began sharing, as well; as I think you know.
It's been an education like no other, for those of us who could never experience anything like this, otherwise!

Today we go to Myanmar (Burma) which has only recently opened its borders (I think maybe about 2 or 3 years ago). We're going to feel a bit cut off from the world I think. There's internet but only at dial-up speed, and I'm not sure if we can get a sim card for the phone, and medical help (God willing we won't need it) maybe a bit backward. So we go with a little trepidation even though we have read a lot about how wonderful the people are, and even though we know other people who've recently been there. But it will be the adventure of a lifetime

And now I'm off to sleep. I had almost no sleep last night. Don't know why. Then we spent the day driving and walking around looking at various ancient temples and pagodas and monasteries around Mandalay. A long day. Tomorrow we have to be up at 5 to get the boat down the river to Bagan. Soooo tired, but in good spirits. Myanmar is a very amazing place. Never seen so many gold stupas ever anywhere.

Have been thinking about it. Many people have suggested it. It's a whole new area for me to explore. I'm hoping to have time to do that, and to put some more energy into marketing the blog, when we stop in Mexico for a couple of months later this year.

Random information of the day: flying from HongKong to Vancouver yesterday I met a woman from Poitiers who used to go to school, and was friends with Joobidoo! He is a big star in Poitiers (well I think we pretty much knew that)

And we're house sitting in a place with one of the biggest TVs I've seen, and they've got Bold hooked up for me

Yes, I feel so blessed. Just even that Bold is still doing it this year! (It will be our last year of it probably - who knows in what direction the new owners of Bold will take it). Anyway I'm excited to be seeing my first skating of the season except for about 4 YT vids.
