Anyone else watching? It got great reviews in the local paper, and other papers. I mean, I'm slightly pissed because I auditioned to be "a local" and was told I didn't look the part, but I'm going to watch it anyway.
I hope it's better than K-ville, which had every stereotype ever created and had already exhausted its misconceptions by the fourth episode.![]()
Pros so far: it started out with a second-line done right (minus the dancers), doing an actual second line song, no one sounds like Paula Deen, and the passenger IS right--it's quicker to go up Esplanade to St. Claude than it is to take the interestate, so gold star bonus for the research. Cons so far: the theme song sucks and is uber rhyme-y. Not sure how I feel about the DJ--he seems out of place.

, but I'm going to watch it anyway.

I love David Simon and I love NOLA. Hopefully this series will come out on DVD.
