    I've been racing around the house all morning trying to make sure everything is clean and dessert is made before my parents get here. It's the first holiday dinner where I'm not going home, so I'm being trusted not to screw things up. My family jokes about my lack of cooking ability (I only started one teeeeny tiny fire and that was a long time ago ) so my parents politely insisted on bringing the main course. My mom just called to say they had to turn around because my dad forgot the steaks. I really think I could've managed picking up decent filets at the meat counter and it would've saved them an extra hour in the car...
