There was a test skate yesterday. Kiira is in very good shape. Also Beata Papp is doing 3t-3t and using her amazing height very well.

Laura Lepistö is injured, she fell in the practice and has internal bleeding in her hip, so she is resting right now. But her coach said that these kind of troubles hear to an athlete´s life.
Sounds very promising. Has Kiira attempted 3-3 since 2006 at all?

    I hope Lepisto recovers soon.

That was the message I heard, too. Sometimes an injury can even be a good thing, and she has both a good head on her shoulders plus the wisest team behind her.

I guess so. And hope, of course. As Maija said, she is mature enough to take time for recovery and also has a wise team behind her.

She is also studying now, in Aalto university´s business department.

Funny to think that apparently the 3toe is a strong jump for Kiira at the moment because last season it was the one she really struggled with.

That's very likely since she already had her previous short program two seasons in a row.

I'm really excited about this. I hope it does affect the junior ladies and how they skate this season! A good experience for the girl who makes it.

Good new on Kiira. The last couple of seasons haven't been easy. I was actually going to as about Beata's 3-3 as I remember either reading it from somewhere or someone telling me that she's got a 3-3, but I wan't sure whether it was just a warped dream.

Hope it isn't the Finnish girls' destiny, that one skater is performs below par due to injury. A quick recovery for Laura, please.

Because I can't wait to see some skating this season (although the JGPs did already start ) I just uploaded some random videos of some of the Finnish junior and novice girls on YouTube. Last season performances of course. For some reason I hadn't put them up earlier but here you go now - in case there's someone interested.

ETA: I guess a link could be useful as well

Her short program was gorgeous. I can live with one more season as long as she gets new long.

Unfortunately for you I think it'll be the other way round: new short, keeping the long.

Finnice I forgot to ask you - were the Papps also at the test skate? Or was it just something you heard?
