Same for me and thanks for that clip! Eleven years later and I still remember watching that moment .. I was talkig to my brother and I stopped mid-word almost after the first 5 seconds and how my jaw hit the floor watching the number mesmerized and when he was finished screamed "who the hell is THIS guy!!!!". I had never heard of him before that and I was out buying CD's the next day.

I also thought "The Cup of Life," a.k.a. "La Copa de la Vida," was already quite popular internationally as it was the official song of the 1998 World Cup held in France.

I know Ricky since when I was too young to understand he was on the other team and perved after him(wasn't too young to do that

It's interesting that most people here mentioned La Copa de la Vida and Livin' La Vida Loca. Those songs didn't have a prominent place in the Black & White Tour. The song that most people sang was Vuelve. I love his Spanish songs, but I'm not crazy about his English ones.

"Vuelve" is an INCREDIBLE album! The one for which he won that first Grammy, IIRC. The title song is just gorgeous.

, it only confirmed what everybody "knew" for decades in latinamerica, or in Argentina at least. a few years ago there where pictures of him taken at his Miami place in which he appeared alone with a very well known gay argentinian TV personality. Everybody just asumed...
His fanbase here didn't shrink one bit because of that then, so I don't think it will now.
