Palm Springs has a ton of adult shops and clothing optional resorts.
I go for the hiking, but know others who go for um ... a different form of leisure.
And I can tell you I was the youngest person at the resort I stayed at, by at least 15-20 years.

Here's the latest news on the Ice Castle
Ice Castle given $100,000 loan to complete project
http://www.mydesert.com/article/2011...mplete-project
In exchange for the $100,000 loan from Cathedral City's redevelopment agency, Anthony Liu needs to put the Desert Ice Castle building at 68-600 Perez Road up as collateral.
He will have 18 months to pay back the loan, plus 7 percent interest. With the city on board, the facility could open before the end of 2011 “unless something exceptional comes up,” said Michael Garren, director of marketing and public relations for the ice rink.
“We needed this (loan) to open sooner,” he said.So I guess Frank won't be going there for a while yet.A grand opening ceremony featuring professional ice skaters was planned for last weekend, and the City Council in February approved a $10,000 sponsorship for it.
Even though the sponsorship was approved, no money has been spent because funding still depends on whether organizers confirm details about the gala's date and anticipated guests.
I was just wondering about this, as the April 23 announced opening came and went without any reports.
I really hope it opens this year so these skaters and Frank can be settled in their training site.
me a little bit hard because lots and lots to read in English... but I'm better at this topic and ask: and instead of Carroll who will now be the oldest coach in Lake Arrowhead? Arutyunyan?
He is now coached by someone?

As promised, I do have a little bit of an update:
My uncle drove out there about a week ago. He described it as a "windowless block" with the name "Desert Ice Palace" written on the front of the building. He said that it was very insular and private. There was no chain-link fence surrounding the lot; he says that it was easy to pull in to the parking lot, but he couldn't see what was going on inside.
It was, apparently, big enough to house just about everything they could need-remember, they will need to have all of their own resources on-site (ie fitness center, pro shop, perhaps even dance studio). He also said that it would probably be easy enough to just walk in if you wanted to see a skater...but that it probably wouldn't be a good idea. He also wondered maybe there'd be seats or if Carroll would consider doing shows out there (there's enough parking and the building is definitely big enough).
He also said that it would be so easy for the average person to pass. He only stopped in because I asked him to, so he was looking out for it. The only thing that makes it more distinctive from a warehouse is the name written on the front-but that's about it.
Ok, a small update.![]()
I really don't think this will ever materialize.
Here's a video that was on a local television station in December 2010, with a short interview with Frank Carroll and shots of the interior: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVPuUBmHL6Y.
The delays were apparently due to financing problems that may have been solved:

Does anyone have any updates on Kulik's new skating center?

Article today..it is finally opening
http://www.mydesert.com/article/2011...-across-valley
Sorry, I didn't see the request for an update until I looked at today's article about the Cathedral City rink. The article about the Cathedral City project is good news - this country needs more good rinks, not failed ones.
Update on Kulik's Skating - Ilia will have updates and photos very soon and I'll post on FSU (with his permission) as soon as he sends things along. Kulik's Skating is very much on its way and in process in terms of moving toward its opening. Exciting...
