    Movie suggestions

I'm trying to figure out what to put in my Netflix queue. Any suggestions? Nothing too bloody or cheesy. I like quality but nothing avant garde.

    Thanks.

I rarely watch anything new, so I have nothing there to suggest. You might try just browsing some of the different genres. When I run out of anything specific to look for, that's what I do. Sometimes I just search for something like Masterpiece Theatre and get a slew of titles to choose from.

    We also loved Moon.

If you like scary movies, I recommend Paranormal Activity. I expected to hate it, but I thought it was very interesting. I am not easily scared, but I thought that movie was terrifying. But don't worry, it's not bloody at all.

I loved Paranormal Activity.. scared the crap out of us! I'm of the mind that if something like that is happening while I'm sleeping I don't want to know. If there was ever a situation where ignorance is bliss, that would be it

I saw Moon tonight. It was only OK for me. However, once I saw what was going on I began to get more into the movie. I might watch it again. I think it hurt that I had NO idea what this movie was going to be about.

    Spoiler

I just saw a random movie on Showtime that I loved! If you are into classic horror movies check out Burnt Offerings. It really surprised me as I'm more a fan of modern horror. For example, I never liked or thought that The Exorcist or The Shining was scary. Those are generally considered two of the scariest movies of all time but they do nothing for me. This movie, which came out in the 1970's, worked for me. It has Bette Davis in it and she is great! Check it out, it has a similar theme as The Shining, actually.
