The situation with your friend's ex is not the same. There's no evidence that this was Jesse's only concern and there's definitely no evidence of child abuse. Yes, his children are paying a price. They have the paparazzi following them to school and Sandra reportedly has moved out. Their lives have been disrupted and there will be unknown consequences. But, it doesn't mean that he's a neglectful and abusive parent or that his children would necessarily be better off with their other parents.

^except I have to say that there is an "element of neglect". When your hookups elevate to the place you have to hide them, then your children's best interests aren't being served. I know this is personal, but I know the little girl in question and have seen her facebook page (that I have posted that her dad used to talk to people using her profile) and the one thing she said she liked to do was ice skate. Do you think any of these parents, steps, bios, girlfriends, exes, hookups have ever taken this little girl skating or enrolled her in group lessons? That really broke my heart and that is why I am angered about all these cheaters. She's reaching out and everyone is too busy to care.

There is not one iota of evidence that Sandra agreed that her husband could have sex with other women, and his own apology and her moving out is pretty clear evidence suggesting otherwise. (Newsflash: Monique's situation is not the default situation -- most women do not happily agree that their husbands can have sex with other women.) So, for you to suggest that she agreed to him having sex with other women (or maybe deserves to have him cheat because she is frigid) is an effort by you to insinuate that this situation is somehow her doing.

It's part of a string of posts in which you try to defend cheating men and cast blame on their wives. From suggesting that Halle should have been home baking cookies to suggesting that Sandra Bullock might have said it was okay for Jesse to do what he did -- even though he himself is saying he is to blame for hurting his wife and kids. You're bending over backwards to suggest that these women are to blame and that the cheating men really aren't all that bad. Nobody has to imagine anything to get that from your posts. That's what you are communicating with your own words. And that's messed up.
First, I was not suggesting that Halle Berry should be home baking cookies and if she did her marriage would not failed. My post was intended to say she was not without blame in regards to the infidelities in her marriage. She was also cheating, aka not at home being a "good wife" as it has been suggested.

And my suggestions regarding what Sandra Bullock agreed to and what she didn't. My point is WE DON'T KNOW. There are plenty of women to agree to stay and be in a marriage for a mirage of reasons that some of us feel are not legitimate reasons to stay. I know some women who would turn the other way to their husband infidelities or to major other issues in their marriage because their husbands come home on time, pay the bills and/or support the household financially. I know women and men who are married and unmarried who put up with lots of stuff including infidelity within their relationships as long as the "dirty laundry" isn't aired in public.

And Newsflash: In my opinion, if you decide to get married or to be a committed relationship over time, you should assume that infidelity has a high probablity of entering into your relationship at some time. The key is how one will be able to handle it. Also, you think about how you will be able to deal with these issues that do arise.

Good for Sandra for moving out. Don't take it, girl. There's no reason in the whole world why you should.

Btw, they had unprotected sex? How can people do that, especially when they're cheating on their spouses? And they're famous. Unwanted pregnancy, all kinds of STDs, etc. It's just unexplainable and inexcusable.

From your metacarpals to the eyes of the Almighty, WindSpirit..... Especially with the major STD outbreak Hollywood has been going through in the past decade in the A-list ranks, it's foolish and dumb to have unprotected sex with ANYONE out there, celeb or no (or anywhere else when you think about it). There are quite a few celebs out there with the Gift that Keeps On Giving, and they are giving it to other folk, knowingly and not so knowingly.

Reminds me of reading somewhere a while ago where Scarlett Johanson said that even when in a relationship she would get tested every 6 months. Smart of her!

    Smart!?!

Gee, I'm so stupid I save myself the hassle of periodic testing by having safe sex. If only I was a blonde genius who puts myself at risk and then makes sure I get medical treatment for it after the fact.

Or are you saying she wastes everyone's time by getting tested for things she's not a risk for?

I doubt Bullock is frigid. I seem to recall some wild rumors about some work she did prior to making it big as an actress.

But of course its smarter to always play safely.

I'm sure Sandra Bullock thought she was having safe sex, too. And that I think was the point of another poster. You can be sure of yourself only. You can't be 100% sure of your sexual partner. Trust is a wonderful thing, but some people will cheat.

My point being when your sex life becomes more important than the children you have conceived, the children's lives suffer. It may not be blatantly obvious, but the kids pay a heavy price for their parent's only concern is their next hook up and then trying to cover it up or not blow their cover.
But there is no evidence to suggest that his children were a second thought to his next hook up. There is very little evidence to suggest he even hooked up at all. And given the kids mom is an ex-pornstar with documented addiction issues, I think it's probably a safe bet that they are currently with the most responsible parent they have - their father.

I agree that it's sad that someone thinks they are monogamous relationship isn't. But technically, trust isn't "safe sex". That's why all those poor wives in Africa died.

No idea what the Bullock situation is.

I was responding to the Johanson situation, which does not warrant a IMHO.

Well a week ago when we first started joking about "the curse" there was no evidence that the marriage was in trouble.

Anyway, not sure how exactly his kids at home with his wife were foremost in his mind when he hooked up with the stripper. I's also disagree that a confession was "little evidence".

I certainly don't envy any kid who has to chose between those two parents.

His "confession" said that the vast majority of what she claimed was untrue. In Touch published the story based on her word and a few texts on her cell phone. The texts were definitely inappropriate but not evidence of an 11 month ongoing affair or even that they ever had sex at all. My guess is that the truth is somewhere in the middle. I don't understand why everyone in this thread is so willing to take this chicks word as gospel. She has at least 30,000 reasons to lie.

Now Eric has been for the most part very respectful to her since their divorce. To my understanding, he could say alot of stuff that would not look to kindly to her in the eyes of some.

My point, we as the public, don't really know how many famous people are behind closed doors in their ordinary life.
From what I have read, I understand Halle is no saint, but I am shocked that Benet would cheat on her...and up until now I haven't heard anything about her being unfaithful to him. That is news to me.

His "confession" was a perfect opportunity to deny that he cheated on is wife. He did no such thing.

No one is believing every single word she said. If you cheat on your wife, you cheat on your wife, who cares what position you were in, what time of day it was, etc...

Maybe it was emotional cheating vs. physical cheating. They're both cheating but I would think it would be easier to forgive a husband if he simply flirted with another woman as oppose to actually having sex with her.

Well, I think it's pretty obvious he cheated on his wife which is why I said the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. That doesn't mean he didn't use protection, that what they did required protection, that she was his "mistress", that his kids were taking a backseat to his hook-ups, or any of the other numerous things she claimed or that are being discussed in this thread. The only things we know for sure is that she got paid $30,000 to say what she did, he denies the majority of it, and Sandra moved out. The rest is (sometimes ridiculous) speculation. This whole notion that he can't be a good parent because he MIGHT have gotten a blow job from an opportunistic bimbo just makes me .
