    John Coughlin's mom died?

I didn't see a thread on this yet, but it looks as though John Coughlin's mom has passed away, too.

    From his Twitter:

The old house feels empty. I just want to hear her voice or give her a hug. Call your folks today for me and tell them you love them.
Feel like I'm making this up as I go along. I'm trying to learn fast though. Dad needs me and Mom is watchin.
    Poor guy.

Yes, it's very sad. She was just 48 years old, but had suffered health and medical problems over the past several years. The last US Nationals she attended in person was in 2008 in St. Paul, Minnesota, and she gave a fun and funny interview to Rusty that was shown on the Jumbotron -- the memory of it still makes me smile. If anyone would like to sign Stacy Coughlin's guestbook, the link is: http://www.legacy.com/gb2/default.as...12180667271838

    From her obituary:
Stacy loved her children [Angela and John] and thought of them as her greatest achievement.
She passed away on February 24 and her funeral will be held tomorrow in Kansas City, MO.

I'm so sad for John This is just horrible.
I met him in Oberstdorf in 2007 at Jr. Worlds and he's the funniest and nicest guy ever.
May his mom rest in peace.

Oh gosh, that is so sad. My mom and I had the pleasure of spending a little time chatting with John and Caitlyn in Spokane and he's one of the nicest guys out there. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his entire family. (((John and Family)))

I had known that John's mom was ill..I was saddened to hear of her death. John is great. I had a few conversations with him in Kitchener and he is so friendly, always has a smile on his face. My thoughts are with him and his dad and sister.
