Yes, because it's much more understandable when men cheat on ugly women. They have a good reason.
Like they say, when you see someone absolutely stunningly gorgeous, you know that someone, somewhere is tired of that person's crap.
Not that any of this is Elin's fault. But really, how long do you think you can look at a person before you don't see them any more? And if you have a guy whose entire emotion toward a woman is based on her looks, how faithful do you think someone that shallow is going to be?

I'd think a lot less of Elin if she just sat back and did nothing and let him get away with it. Spinelessness and sainthood are not mutually exclusive. To do nothing borders on victimhood, although I am not advocating physical violence. (I'd personally would have taken the golf clubs to a region of his body further south.)
