Predicted after the Olympics she would collect her World Champion title and ride off into the sunset. Sure will be interesting to see what happens next.
I don't want to see Bradie. Her skating is BORING. She is the Ameican flash in the pan of 2017-18. Remember 2 years ago when Courtney Hicks skated well at Skate America. Mariah Bell the same a year later. Tennell makes her SENIOR DEBUT AT 19, skates well at Skate America and has a good season...
It would have been great if mirai had skated clean. She would have been placed ahead of Bradie. The on screen score box had her TES 15 points higher than Bradie. Then the reviews came and she lost 13 points.
2018 Ladies Worlds was quite a free for all fight. Not surprised who delivered the K.O. Congrats to Osmond and Canada on their Ladies World title. Well done.
Didn't Daleman go back to last years LP because the new one wasn't working for her ? Did Ashley change hers in late 2017 ? Sometimes the choreographers try to fit the square peg in the round hole.
Men's Gold and Bronze and train together.
Ladies Gold and Silver and train together.
Dance Gold and Silver and train together.
Seems like it's good to have a great coach and a competitive training environment.
Thanks for the correction aftershocks.
Karen Chen has taken her skating career to the elite level with some serious obstacles. I don't know how someone who is painfully shy can even get out in front of a large crowd and perform as well as she does. Medvedeva has said she loves being out there and everyone focused on her. Patrick Chan...
Many US skaters have commented the hardest competition was Nationals in Olympic season. I remember someone (maybe Kwan) saying Nationals was tougher than the Olympics.
The fact Mirai did not have a USFSA approved coach really diminished her chances of going to the Olympics even though she LEGITIMATELY finished third at Nationals in 2014. There was really nobody to defend her position. I was really nervous for Karen Chen after the free skate. I was sure USFSA...
It's very difficult to compare scores even from different competitions. Different judges, technical specialists, ect, make it impossible to compare. As it was stated on FSU in another thread, Tennell's scores at 2018 nationals would have given her the silver medal over Yuna Kim at 2014 Olympics.
