    U.S. Ladies [#28]: Achieving 2020 Vision

I think 2020 Nationals will be very similar to last year. Alysa is a front runner technically but if Bradie or Mariah perform 2 perfect programs, I wouldn't be surprised if either pulled off a win. Their PCS at this point in time is ahead of Alysa by quite a bit if judged appropriately. Also...

    U.S. Ladies [#27]: A Time to Reboot

I agree, it was surprising how she just mentioned it like it wasn't that big a deal. I guess we'll see what kind of shape she's in this weekend at the Aurora Games which will be on ESPN U for anyone who has that channel.

Aurora Games, Albany, NY, August 24

That's great news! I'm looking forward to watching this on TV if I can't make it to Albany.

    U.S. Ladies [#27]: A Time to Reboot

Her short program music is playing so this was definitely in a run through, hopefully that's a good sign of her progress!

    U.S. Stars on Ice tour, April 18 - May 18, 2019

My sister posted a few more for anyone who is interested, sadly no Vincenet Zhou solo's, his second number was quite good. https://www.youtube.com/user/boushh2187/videos

    U.S. Stars on Ice tour, April 18 - May 18, 2019

Thanks for posted fan videos from Long Island. I was there and took some videos of my own and can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/user/christos61978/videos Great show last night, lots of variety in numbers and good crowd support and cheers. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves as...

Mariah Bell cheer thread: Rise Up

I think her current layout along with a 2 axel half loop 3 salchow sequence would do the trick. She has a 2nd axel right after her footwork that would be a good spot. I somewhat hope she keeps this seasons long program for next season and focuses on upgrading her technical over the summer.

Mariah Bell cheer thread: Rise Up

Proud of Mariah for putting together two solid skates at Worlds despite the controversy. It must not have been easy as her post LP reaction clearly indicated. I would have had her marked slightly higher in the LP but maybe an under on the 2nd lutz which probably would even it out. Hoping for...

Ashley Wagner Cheer Thread #3: The Subject of Tonight's Lecture...

I watched the Ladies coverage from Ice Desk and enjoyed the commentary from all the panelists. Ashley is doing a great job and holding her own, hoping for a lot more of these opportunities for her! Link to youtube for anyone who wants to watch.

NYC 2018 Bryant Park Tree Lighting Skate-tacular on Tue. December 4 & Dec. 2 ice show at The Rink at Brookfield Place

I was there last night and can report it was quite the turnout! Many spectators seemed to be caught off guard by the festivities but certainly stayed for the entire show. I unfortunately arrived later than I'd planned and didn't have a good view of the ice but could at least watch on the large...

U.S. Ladies [#23]: Triple Axels? What a Novice Idea!

I'm sorry but I don't see how these are two very different withdrawals. How is Ashley's injury(doubted or not) not considered a lack of fitness? Both were not prepared and/or capable of finishing their respective competitions. Why does Karen get a pass because of what she's gone through and...

Ashley Wagner as Commentator - UGH!!!!

I agree with much of what Willin said. I'm enjoying her analysis of why something went wrong or how someone could improve themselves. Her vocab still needs to improve and I find sometimes she gets lost in using the same terms but nothing that can't improve with experience. I also liked her...

Ashley Wagner as Commentator - UGH!!!!

I think I saw some posted from NHK with the initial OC in the title.

Ashley Wagner on her competitive future, new roles as coach and TV commentator, skating in shows

Thanks for posting the article. I suspected that she would lean towards retirement after seeing the technical demands required to succeed this season. Even at her best she is prone to under-rotations and the new scoring isn't too kind to that and nor is it kind of flutzing. I'll miss her on...

Ashley Wagner Cheer Thread #3: The Subject of Tonight's Lecture...

I think she did a very good job for her first time out. I don't find it odd that she commentated on the pairs and doesn't have pairs experience herself. This can be said for the majority of commentators currently being used. There were a few times where she talked a bit too much during the...
