Iron made Zhulin. Most of the show is dead boring and moronic (the hosts are idiots, so are the audience questions) Interesting parts: His grandmother wanted him to skate and be healthy. He didn't like it much - they were skating in an outdoor rink and it was cold. He liked the skating itself, but not much more. His current wife (Mikhailova) wants their daughter to skate. Zhulin would not coach her though - he wants to be a loving father and not a strict coach. He was coaching his wives, hence he is divorced. He had to be harsh on Navka since Kostomarov was alone there while he was there with Navka. He was praising Kostomarov more and was telling Navka is wrong more. Perhaps it was wrong, but the result is the gold medal. He wouldn't want to do that to his daughter. Now having 2 Olympic gold medals (with NavKos and BobSol) he is coming up with the new motivation. He assumed he would be coaching ever since he paired up with Usova. He was coaching her all the time, he drove her nuts both as wife and a partner. She was an ice dancer before they paired, he was not, yet he was telling her what to do. He was making things comfortable for himself on her expense. I teach my pupils as well. It's much more comfortable skating with a partner than alone - many things can be hidden. For example Zhulin is not very flexible (assume he is talking about a natural ability to do spread eagles) he would grab Maya and turn both her and himself. He would like to thank Maya a lot - she is a genious partner. The only thing he is sorry about is not coming to his grandmother's funeral. He was 15y.o. egoistic idiot and thought it'll give him negative emotions. He is sorry about that now.
