Hmm, Weird Al Yankovic has some polka songs like "polka face"

This lists some of the songs he has turned in Polka.

:yikes:OK, now you and Doris have made me really afraid. I like the Yankee Polka, but as a SD it could make this year's SD look stellar in comparison. Seriously, I never really got into the majority of the programs with the mess of music cuts and the difficulty of doing Latin on ice, but the Yankee can end up being much worse IMO.

I really do want the Shins to do Ieva's polka in the vocsloid version. They would be so cute done up as manga characters.

Hearing Yankee Polka with March and Waltz as acceptable accompanying rhythms. For Juniors, Blues with HipHop and Jive.

Thanks! Blues and HipHop could be great for seniors. And jumping polka will be great for young skaters.

I hated Del-Scho's costumes for that CD. They had a real gift for coming up with themes that insulted American women.

What made this choice really off was that only two of the various YP CD music possibilities sound very Western. The others are pretty standard Euro polka music, so the cowboy gear does not work at all.

    Here's one of my favorites - Grishuk/Platov from 97.

Meryl and Charlie did an absolutely fantastic Yankee Polka the year it was used for Nationals. I thought they should have beaten Tanith and Ben in that segment.

Wow -- you see that and realize just how good G&P were. Their extensions match so beautifully even as they're bouncing along. Thanks for putting up the link.

Compare "Davis&White" to G&P. They're not in the same league at all, and probably will never be since they do not challenge themselves, never have and probably never will.

G&P were just ... one of a kind. I am still waiting for skaters to be as good as they were to appear. And I don't think I will in some time.

Platov was so underrated at the time. She got all the attention, but he was so :kickass:
Can you expand on this? :shuffle:
