Don't touch my Jeremy
Wait, maybe Jeremy Abbott and Massimo Scali !
Joubert & Yagudin
I've already seen my perfect pairing: Dorothy Hamil & Michelle Kwan - magical!
Philippe Candeloro and Michael Weiss
That would be the performance of the year for me.
Absolutely. If only we could have had Janet Lynn & MK too.
Another epic ice dance pair: Marina Klimova & Marina Anissina
Kevin Reynolds and Rachel Flatt.
Strictly for the hair?
Flatt/Torvill skating to "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy"...maybe with Bobrova joining in with sailor hat.
Stephane Lambiel and Jerod Swallow. Strictly for the hair, also.
To be honest, none
Dick Button and Johnny Weir.
Mainly. And for the matching first name.
mmscfdcsu Uncle Dick and the Gazelle.
Plushenko and Candeloro - it would be fun watching them try to upstage each other.
For the hair - charlie White and Jimmy Mc Elroy
Throw Gwendal Peizerat in there too.
Hmm. I just can't see the two of them together.
Lloyd Eisler and Simon Shnapir
Joubert and Amodio would be interesting. Or better yet, Ponsero and Amodio!
I like this thread!
John Zimmerman and John Zimmerman
Czisny and Kostner, Chan and Sawyer, Joubert and Van der Perren, or Joubert and Plushenko (lol), Nagasu and Murakami
Chan in the rink with Joubert, Plushenko, and anyone else he insulted/trash-talked
Javier Fernandez dressed as a matador in a rink with a bull on ice skates. (still same-sex)
I always thought he had a nice pair...
I like the Buttle/Brezina pairing, but they'd look like some creepy gay twins.
Some others, as I try to match body types or create dwarf tossing scenarios
Harding/Cohen (could you imagine the lifts and throws??)
Weir/Belbin (yes, I realize...but it's a gray area...)
Flatt/Reynolds (again, yes, I realize...but...)
Asada/Bauil (before the vodka and potatoes)
Leonova/Suzuki (or Liashenko)
Baldwin/either of the Wirtzes
I'm quite amazed no one thus far has suggested the most obvious:
Kerrigan and Harding
That might sell a few seats
This thread has me flashing back to my competitive days. Each year our rink would host an ice dance weekend and the Lieb family would come. Identical twin teenage boys Raphael and Eli--both superb dancers--would give us a show each year by dancing the Kilian together (after much goading and pleading). It was rather surreal, watching the two blond heads fly across the ice side-by-side. That was eons ago before the internet and small video cameras unfortunately.
gwendal peizerat and peter tchernyshev
We're discussing skating, possum. Not roller derby.
