OMG, the skating skills this pair would have !
I liked the overhead lift that Dylan Moscovitch did with Rudi Swiegers. Searched briefly for that on youtube, but didn't find anything. Which made me wonder...the clips we see tend to be males doing various moves - any links to a female team doing something like a death spiral or side by side pairs spin? Imagine side by side spins by Alyssa Czisny and Lucinda Ruh. Just the thought of that makes me want to cry in sheer wonder/joy!
I think a Tango program might be needed but in any case those two skating together would be too distracting for me. I don't think I can handle such awesome hair together on the ice. Takahashi's manga-inspired, sculpted and/ or gelled to the hilt hairdo PLUS Lambiel's naturally gorgeous, flowing manes......I just can't...
Lambiel did say that he and Takahashi might perform Amelie together someday.
Shabalin and Novitiski. Afterall they both have gammy knees (not sure which one has which gammy knee). And they have the hairy factor.
For some strange reason I would pair Sinead Kerr with Faiella. I can't explain why - it just is.
Bourzat and John Kerr
Trankov and Shnapir
Alissa and Mao
Mirai and Sotnikova
(I saw them in the group numbers in SOI, and 1) they have similar skating styles, 2) they were the only 2 out of the group that were always on the music and on the choreography. I had the thought they would look well as a duet- a male version of what Alissa and Sasha did- and it was sad that such a thing would be culturally unacceptable.)
This thread is so icegasmic!

interesting pairing. may i know why?
i dont know if i can appreciate a kim/gordeeva pairing, but i might like to see katia skate with tiffany stiegler or tessa virtue (no jumps)
Before Trankov, I was totally rooting for a Savchenko/Volosozhar pairing
A while back, I fantasized about a Bestemianova/Torvill clown number
Flatt and the Zamboni
Artur Dmitriev/ Stephane Lambiel, both with same facial expressions when they really get into classical programs, plus both with great use of balletic arms/ hands. Keeping with this balletic theme, I'd like to see them skate to Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet, specifically the fight scene between Romeo and Tybalt.
Shizuka Arakawa/ Sasha Cohen, two skaters with perfect turnout and natural flexibility. Arakawa with her perfect body can wow us with her Ina Bauer and 3/3s while Cohen can do her gymnast-like spirals and spins. It'd be freaky in the best sense of the word.
No lies, that would be EPIC! PCS scores through the roof!
Totally off-topic, but I would lurve to see Joannie 'The Rocket' skate something like what Colin Harris is doing in this event: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-9qZ4Zs6Ys&feature=related
I think they both are so elegant skaters, plus I love their spirals and spin positions, they could skate without any jumps and it still would give me a magical impression
And it is a very nice idea to pair Katia with Tessa
The "Bridge over trouble water" by Gordeeva, Yamaguchi and Sumners was very beautiful, and without any jump !
