Tomas Verner - 07 World FS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGQCqgTFFn8 , 09 Euro SP, 09 TEB SP
Michelle Kwan - 1998 Nationals SP
Rudy Galindo - 1996 Nationals LP
Caryn Kadavy - 1988 Olympics SP
Ludmila Nelidina -- 2002 Skate America LP (where she landed the triple axel)
Claudia Leistner -- 1989 Worlds LP (where she wuz robbed of the world title)
Patricia Neske -- 1992 Worlds LP
Trixi Schuba -- just about everything, but especially the '72 Olympics LP
There must be more...
I have to say I like watching Trixi Schuba perform figures. It's strangely mesmerizing.
If you ask the best performance, all in all,
Alexei Yagudin in 2002 Salt Lake City Olympic
2002 Salt Lake City Olympic SP Winter
2002 Salt Lake City Olympic LP Man in the Iron Mask
But if you ask my favorite performance, I like passionate and emotional performances of Alexei better!
2000 Skate Canada LP Gladiator
2001 World Championship SP Revolutionary Etude
2002 Hallmark Overcome
2004 World Team Challenge Winter
2003 Skate Canada Farewell Memorial
Aww, sweet times when Requiem for a dream wasn't overused and annoying yet. And yes, it was breathtaking. I really miss that Tomas.
some of my fav skaters' bests:
Drobiazko/Vanagas 2000 and 2006 Worlds FD
Davis/White 2009 Worlds FD and 2009/2010 OD anytime, anywhere
Kerr/Kerr 2008 Worlds OD
Joubert 2006 CoR FP
anytime Yagudin performed Winter and Overcome - even if with mistakes or less emotion, those two programs were masterpieces on a still unreachable level (the funny thing is, I think he wouldn't have been scored too high under today's system back then noone cared about countable details, people cared about passion and I kind of miss that)
well, obviously there's a lot more

Shawn Sawyer's Mozart program and Ryan Bradley's Mozart program too!
My favorite skater changes rather often, but lately it is Kurt Browning and the best performance to me is Triptico, in 2006 Gotta Skate:
A masterpiece, really.
Plushenko, Nijinsky, at Russian National, 2004
This performance must not be forgotten:

Yu-Na Kim SP from 2007 Worlds
Alexei Yagudin's SP from 2002 Olympics
Berezhnaya/Sikharulidze: 1999 Worlds LP (even Elena's fall didn't destract me from the pure beauty of their skating), 2002 Olympics SP - so clean and elegant, this routine is the standard of pairs skating in my book.

Michelle Kwan - 1998 Natioal LP - Lyra Angelica

Could not agree more on "Reverie". It is the definition of art.
Matt Savoie's SP at 2004(?) Nationals. Where he wore the red velvet costume. Yeah.
I can't find it on youtube!
Evgeni Plushenko - Portrait of an Artist, GPF 2001. I liked Carmen as well, but I wish he'd kept this one.
Alexander Abt - Europeans 2002, Rachmaninoff FS. He should've won.
Haha, love it, although it was definitely not her best performance jump-wise.
Few performances, before or since, have ever touched me as much as Michelle's Lyra at the 1998 Nationals. One of the truly great iconic moments in the history of the sport.
Not my favourite skater, and the performance doesn't have even one full revolution jump, but I think it's the greatest performance I've seen:
Perfection, down to the lighting. Every movement makes sense, there is no corny, glittery costuming, and Mr. Browning exudes pure masculinity and total command and mastery. The only other skaters who could pull this type of performance off is Gary Beacom, and maybe Ilia Kulik.
