I have a 65" HD tv. Which sounds great but it's over 18 years old which means it's rear projection and so its picture quality isn't as great as one that's smaller but uses LCD technology. Also it's not internet-ready which not only seems to be the "next big thing" but also a good idea for a figure skating fan. So I have some questions from those who have tvs like this: 1) If I have a 65" rear projection tv, what size LCD should I get to have a similar viewing experience? I'm pretty sure I could go smaller and still be able to see the picture just as well and maybe be able to sit closer too. (Which would give me back more of my living room.) 2) Are there any "gotchas" to look out for? Features not worth paying for? Apps I absolutely must have? 3) What features are absolutely required to watch figure skating on the internet? I'm assuming a browser app. Anything else? 4) I'm don't think I need 3D but is there any reason to refuse to buy a tv that has it or to get it anyway if it's not that much more?
