Personally I'd much rather see Johnny in a show than Evan, but in answer to your question, no, you aren't right. The Ice Dreams "tour" is only three cities (and I think they sometimes do a Christmas show somewhere) organized by Johnny's agent, so of course he's the headliner. SOI may be a shadow of its former self, but a spot on that tour is still prestigious, and Evan did it for three-four years I believe. As for other show opportunities, without knowing how many invitations each skater gets, it's hard to judge who is most "in demand."

Very few ice shows around nowadays so skaters have no choice but to put together their own show which is what Weir did with Ice Dreams. Maybe one day Evan will organize his own tour?

Looks like Denney/Coughlin and Hubbell/Donohue didn't make the show after all.

Yeah, I was surprised about that. I wonder if injuries are still a problem. Coughlin had hip surgery, and recently Madison Hubbell fell on a 3-turn & hit her head (don't think it was serious, and don't know if was a factor in the missed show appearance).

    EDIT: She'd tweeted this...

Hmm. Hopefully everyone is okay. It's too bad H/D have had some bad luck with their planned appearances. I was going to go to the canceled show in MA.

Haven't seen anything to indicate Johnny has any involvement other than headlining. Tara has been putting together shows like this for years to showcase her clients and build her business, and I'm pretty sure that she and her staff developed this one and do all the legwork. The only reference I've seen to Johnny putting together his own show or tour is his on again/off again dream to do some sort of spectacular with Lady Gaga and Elton John, and I suspect if he could ever get them to agree to something, it would again be Tara "putting it together."

As for Evan, that would surprise the hell out of me. He'd need some serious partners and sponsors for something like that, and while he's got the medals, I don't think he has the level of widespread recognition or the personality to carry his own tour. Very few have done it successfully as even a one-off, let alone a tour, and that includes many of the sport's superstars who ended up being part of ensemble tours instead.

Madison did fall on the ice and hit her head. Her doctor would not clear her to travel. Hubbell and Donohue were looking forward to skating their exhibition program in Oakland.

Well, that's a good doctor. No one who's experienced a big crash/hit should get on a plane soon after. Do you know if they were doing a new exhibition program or was it last season's?

Madi and Zach had planned to skate their new program-"Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heap, and "Whatcha Say" by Jason Derulo.

Can someone who has a less fuzzy head than me at the moment just verify for me pretty please if the Axel Jason did was a 2A or 3A? My brain just for the life of me will not process the jump.

That's an easy double. Not surprised he didn't go for 3A in exhibition, the lighting always messes with your balance. Fun program through.

Here's what I just posted in the Jason fan thread in the Trash Can:
ETA 2 photos tweeted by @PolinaEdmunds:
"Johnny Weir's Show "Ice Dreams" in Oakland CA! I had the best time, and I already miss everyone so much!!!" http://pic.twitter.com/5sZeIqGUd5 (Jason does the splits on the ice!)

"With my show program choreographer ✨Rudy Galindo✨ and the amazing Johnny Weir" http://instagram.com/p/aHp6ddkjS2/ (both Polina & Johnny in very sparkly costumes)

Ricky Dornbush tweeted these 2 photos:

"Look at @JohnnyGWeir and I at the Ice Dreams Tour, Oakland" http://pic.twitter.com/i2vdkqVJWc

    "@Hannah_Miller1 @SammiCesario @PolinaEdmunds and I - Ice Dreams Tour 2013 - Photos courtesy of Shirley McLaughlin" http://pic.twitter.com/sl4lsAtkHk

Dornbush also tweeted that he does a backflip (new trick for him) at the end:
Here's a cool photo of Jason's split jump high in the air with fellow leapers (L to R) Hannah Miller, Max Aaron, and Samantha Cesario - the Golden Gate Bridge is in the background:
