Vanessa will skate on the Sound of the music, not Mary Poppins.
I remeber in 2008 all canadians used Gipsy ODs and in 2010 - Flamenco :)
So maybe this time this will be "The sound of the music"? :)
For me SM and MP sound the same

Not only Canadians are using "Mary Poppins" and "Sound of Music" -- the polka is bringing out the goatherd and chimney sweeper in a lot of couples. I don't think one score sounds the same as the other, though, although both are uplifting and both were sung by Julie Andrews.

We went with the Breakfast at Tiffanys look. Kaitlyn has it nailed. Fun fact...We were shooting at a cafe in a downtown area, and Andrew walked out in his tux, and the women were falling all over themselves. The window that faced the cafe filled up and there were 20 women with their faces pressed against it.

I can see why!! Andrew is so gorgeous. He and Kaitlyn, like Tessa and Scott, make a wonderfully aesthetic pair .. both with unbelievable chemistry!

Are Andrew and Kaitlyn quite close in real life? Good friends, etc? Just curious! I've always wondered.. :)

Haha, I don't blame them, probably would have been one of them. You guys did a great job with the photo shoot.
There's seems to be an ambiguity with these two; some people say they're together, some say they're not. Who knows, but I think it's their programs that I am most fascinated by and I can't wait to see what they do with The Sound of Music (love it).

And condolences to the Poje family on the lost of their grandmother.

They said in an interview earlier this season that it's platonic.

Oh I hate quirky polka's :( I'll wait to reserve judgement but I 'm not really looking forward to these SD :shuffle:

Maybe I'll watch tapes from 92 OD and get a feel for them

Thank you, mysticchic, for sharing your lovely collection of photos. I love seeing Kaitlyn and Andrew in character, and that SD is my favourite OD/SD that they have ever done--I have watched it so many times!

and thank you, pani, for providing the link to the ACGM pics.

My condolences to Andrew and his family.

I was watching Giselle today was wondering hoe many dance teams have skated to it? It can be a nice choice for W/P :)

Recently I have worried about W&P doing a polka. I mean, they are so sophisticated, how can they go all rustic and pull it off?

I read that they are using The Sound of Music, and maybe The Lonely Goatherd. Say it isn't so! Andrew would never be a lonely goatherd. I hope they don't put him in lederhosen.

Will not relax until I see what they do at SA, and then maybe I will have to pull the covers over my head for the rest of the season.

JasperBoy , fear not ! Andrew is drawing on the character of the Captain ( military uniform ?)..and he's going for a manly , elegant polka...( I'm wiggling my eyebrows in your direction )

I think Kaitlyn said they're going for classy..:) and it will be combined with the waltz ...( what is the waltz from Sound of Music ? )

Thanks to everyone for putting my mind at ease. Excellent adaptation of the rules to fit the personalities. Andrew as the Captain is a brilliant idea. And Edelweiss is one of my favourites.

Ah yes, Edelweis, it was my dad's favorite. That combined with a Polka should be rather nice for them....can't wait to see it.
