As I'd mentioned a few times before, I've been trapping stray cats in my neighborhood to get them spayed and neutered. However, my landlady threatened to evict me earlier this week if I continued to do so. :( (I've only done 3 coming through my backyard, but there were still a few in the parking lot I had wanted to fix.)

BUT, there's another way I/everyone can help! FixNation, the clinic where I was getting the cats fixed for free, is in the running to win $50,000 from Pepsi to continue their mission!

    http://www.refresheverything.com/fix700cats

Please vote every day! You can even vote by texting 104553 to Pepsi (73774)

FixNation is the ONLY place in Los Angeles where people can take in feral cats to get spayed or neutered for free. It's hard work for everybody (I'm certainly not a happy camper having to get up at 6am to get them there in time for their appointments :coffee: ) but everybody's willing to put in the work for the kitties! :cat: They were super-duper helpful in making me feel like I could trap those wily cats, haha. I've never met people more sincerely concerned about their well-being.

Done. The garden kitty would never forgive me if I didn't support such a good cause.

On the right, there should be a light gray "Vote for this idea" button. You'll have to sign in on Facebook or register onto Pepsi's site.

I had to scroll down to the bottom to get the "vote for this idea" gray button. That linked to a page where I logged in, and then back to the page where I could vote. Good luck.

A charitiy I support is also in this contest. After you vote to help the stray cats, please vote for special needs kids. You can vote for up to 10 different charities each day. Thanks

    http://www.refresheverything.com/nationalinclusionproject

or Dial Pepsi @ 73774 then text the number 102308.

If you vote for these charities online, these organizations will be stored on your profile page. You can then go to your profile page every day and all the charities will be listed there with a vote button next to their name. The link to your profile page is in the bottom left corner of the page.

Thanks to everyone who'll be voting for our charities.

Anita, We've been in the contest since September and are finally in a position to win. If you're new at this and have any questions, feel free to PM me. I can give you 6 votes a day.

What's worse, I think my neighbors tattled on me, after telling me they would help me get the cats. So now I'm the bad guy in all this. I was really mad/disappointed about it last week but I've gotten over that. Now I'm looking forward to the future and what I can do to help. I even volunteered to learn how to use my newly-acquired sewing machine and make more trap covers for FixNation, as well as voting for them here. :)

Yeah I've tried to vote over the last several days and it's annoying - sometimes the login popup doesn't work and I have to enter it into my browser to log in properly to get to my "dashboard." But once you're in it's really easy. You just click on the light gray voting button and it'll automatically register.

I think your group was ranked around 55th place when I first checked. Is that about right? I now have 6 more votes I can give to you for a total of 12a day. Are you linked up with other charities and trading votes?
