Sorry - wrong topic - and I can't figure out how to delete it.
Sorry, I haven't been around much, but is Nats this weekend or the next?
It's happening right now: novices, juniors, and seniors on the weekend. .
That's ok puglover lol.....I wish I could see Eman live again too. It's a real treat to see Scott and Tessa live...such a difference than on a TV screen.
Hi! This weekend. SD will be on Saturday and FD on Sunday.
Watched some Novice ice dance teams. Its amazing how strong coached Wing-Lowe become in Canada
I see in there teams Shpilband style.
Thank you, guys!
If I am reading the competition schedule correctly, the Ice Dance practices are at...
Thursday 2:00pm in practice rink
Friday 11:15am in practice rink
Friday 5:10pm in competition rink
Saturday 10:00am in competition rink
Sunday 8:00am in competition rink
I don't recall seeing a camera in the practice rink when I popped in Monday for a quick peek, but I was not specifically searching for one. I don't know if any of the practices will be broadcasted on SkateBuzz.
I think they will not show pratice, because of this message at SC twitter account
I wont be here for the comp. Wish T&S my very best.....
I hope we will have some reports from tomorrow practice, if some fans will be there.
so the isu just released a video highlighting the gpf
and they only showed tessa and scott twice! i have a feeling that they're not too fond of them :/
ISU YOUR FAVORITISM IS SHOWING
or at least the person who created this video favoritism is showing
But whatever that favoritism is, it's not towards Meryl and Charlie - because they too were shown only twice .
Still, thank you.
I'll be attending practices and competition , but won't have a laptop with me. I can post impressions afterward, though.
Thank you! This will be nice When you will go?
4. Just correction. But no matter. I think the highlight of GPF was 3 quads from Fernandes in LP
Thank you, that would be wonderful! Enjoy this week of skating!
Thursday through Sunday. I hope to catch the junior free dance, as well.
Great! Will enjoy FS liVe"!
Yes, it's wonderful. And even better with an enthusiastic crowd.
was this ever posted?
Skate Canada uploaded a new Tessa and Scott video on youtube
ETA: NVM - I don't think this video is actually new, despite them just uploading it.
Sorry if it's been posted but when is the first practice supposed to be? [/bored]
Today at Community Rink 2 at 14-00 local time.
Hi, Cherub, practice sessions are posted on page 39, I can't wait either
tessa and scott at the opening press conference
Thank you! Happy to see them again
Tessa looks gorgeous.
Like alwayse. And two boys arround look OK too. Patric look tanned
All that time for Patrick in Hawaii no doubt! He said he climbed up Haleakala volcano.
O, now i understand
Are there practice reports on them?
i think the reason why they stray away from social media is that they know they will be harassed by their stalker-haters. its good yet daunting that they know about the shit that has been said about them and their program.
A short clip of Tessa talking about their programs leads off this video in this Patrick Chan article: http://www.torontosun.com/2013/01/17/chan-avoids-being-flushed-away
I could always understand Carmen just not being everyones cup of tea but I continue to at people who act as if Tessa and Scott are doing porn on ice. Clearly those who feel that way must be relatively new to watching icedance. There have been far more steamier pieces in the past and even those still didn't fit into the too much for kids territory. Puleeze. I'm glad V&M aren't on the social media sites or spend time scanning through them.
I wish the poll in the article had better options though. I voted for "I'm not offended" but the poll should have had an "I love it; one of the best programs I've ever seen" choice.
I've been catching up on V&M news and before this season, if I had read that V&M were doing a program overhaul, I would have been disappointed and dreading seeing how much they might have had to change the feel of their programs to get the points. However, this time I'm excited; can't wait to see the new version of the SD. At this point at least, IMO Jennifer Swan can do no wrong in my eyes. Team V&M really need to keep her on for next season.
it's very understandable that they're upset about their work being called those names. They must care for that program so much, that it's like hearing insults toward a beloved relative or something. perhaps, unlike the fans who know well about these things , they don't see that the reason behind all that is often jealousy and ostility toward them. if Scott feels better venting his feelings about it (we know he's an honest guy), it's a right thing. I can't help to think, though, that the best way to respond those comments is to "kick asses" at competitions; doing so, they can defend the artistic greatness of their treasure
Honestly i cant understand, why canadian press all time before Nationals talking about Carmen critics? And this voting show - who care if so much people even never saw this FD? Its look like canadina press help did not good PR for Tessa and Scott.
I think better will be talking about changes, innovative elements, to show V-M practice.....IMHO, articles like this only help t-S rivals.
And i feel sad we didnt have any practice reports in photos And SkateBuzz didnt show practice and will not show nothing from ice dance events, even if TV will not show FD "live"
It makes the overwhelming favourite look more like underdogs, for one thing, which is a pretty clever tactic.
I like this one more. At least from this article look like T-S see people respect Carmen and like it more, then SD. So they wish to made SD work better for them and for judges and audience.
People have different opinions and they are entitled to them. To each their own .. there would be something wrong if EVERYONE loved the same programs.
Are there no practice reports?? The forum from Canadians doesn't have much.
That's a very nice, and very interesting article. It sheds a lot of light on how they create their program. Thank you, pani.
