They probably won't show this year's CSOI until December.

That's why I think this idea that the judging is so much fairer now is BS... the methods are just different.

I'm sure that's the tip of the iceberg and that kind of thing goes on all the time, to the point I almost feel bad for the Ukranian judge, lol... it sounds like she wasn't even trying to get them a placement/medal, just the minimum score for Worlds.

I hadn't read about the Italian judge.... that is more  to me since they gave him Worlds as his first judging assignment after the ban... but he might have been incompetent instead of a cheater so I guess it's ok. And I'm supposed to look at protocols to "understand the skating and judging?" No thanks...

No, actually I quite like your blog and foamspring Tony (I read them!). IMO, you do try to be 'unbias' unlike some other bloggers. ;)

IF Figure Skating was half as popular as baseball and basketball (in the US) and hockey (in Canada) this kind of thing would produce fodder for a number of days as the "journalists" probe for facts and offer opinions on what would be done.

The ISU seems rather lax about a number of things it's members do/don't do.

(still shaking my head in disgust)

I'm guessing that whenever they DO make the announcement of what music they have chose, it won't be soon enough for us fans. I'm also sure that I will come to love it, whether it's something new or an "old warhorse". They may make mistakes while on the ice but more often than not, but they ALWAYS surprise me (sometimes mind-boggling) with their dances.

So I guess we will have classical and elegant ( two words that describe T&S so beautifully) and repetitive and exotic- words that describe their chief competitors?

Well, it were pictures of the SD (co-) choreographers of the Shibutanis and Davis/ White so I would not expect Virtue and Moir in it since they have nothing to do with them. Their SD input Generaux.

I guess the latest date will be the Skate Canada High Performance Camp at the beginning of September. If nothing leaks or is announced before.

Typical. They always leave out Tessa and Scott. I wonder if they feel alienated being the only Canadian team.
But I doubt V/M will do an old warhorse they already tackled that lol.

No one is leaving out anyone. They simply weren't there and those two teams are working with the same choreographers. It's not a Canton ice dancing team pic, it is just the Shibs and DW with their choreographers.

I think the pic is of the US team members......
I dont think the T&S would want to be in it!

Probably not until high performance camp. Sucks. And I agree with Golightly nobody is alienating anybody (though it might be weird? sometimes that they're the only Canadians there), but it Tessa and Scott felt uncomfortable or whatever they would have left.

i am really sad that there are so few photographs and comments on the golf tournament. I thought perhaps their pr people would make a big deal out of it. I imagined it would be very good for their profile for this final year!!
