movies opening soon:
Ides Of March

I might see Anonymous, though I don't really like the idea of Shakespeare's plays having been written by somebody else.
A shot-or-stabbed question if you were one of 99.994 in 100 of the population at either time, but...
Elizabethan or Jacobean England?
Balmain bugs and whiting
Camel meatballs with mint sauce
Illawarra Plum Spare Ribs
Kangaroo pepper steak
I can't seem to decide. All of those recipes are so... interesting. scream
Nakano's 4th place at Worlds 2008:
Unfortunate, but within the rules (and their spirit) IMO. Chouinard, Hubert, Rechnio, Meier, and Suzuki aren't world medalists, either.
1) same question
2) I like Joubert's new SP music (or at least whatever he used for his first airing-out of it):
the second and third options simultaneously
2) (The music is cool, but the program itself isn't very nice, in my opinion.)
Akiko Suzuki or Fumie Suguri?
Joubert is keeping the "Ode to Joy" LP:
Suguri's Olympic short programs: 2002 or 2006?
2002. Robbed, unless I'm missing some obvious deduction.
4th-place finisher at the Olys with the best case for a podium finish instead:
Butyrskaya in 1998
Cohen in 2002
Suguri in 2006
Nagasu in 2010
Suguri in 2006.
Suguri, though it's close for me between her and Butyrskaya. Cohen made too many mistakes and I'm a bit at those who forget Nagasu's flutzing and lack of a salchow when putting Rochette's bronze down to politics.
Kevin Costner: yay or nay?
Kevin Spacey - yay or nay?
a nice middlebrow picture
pretentious, morbidly underdeveloped, and colossally overrated
the third option (and misogynous, too)
Kate Winslet or Hilary Swank?
Gene Tierney or Grace Kelly?
Better performance in The Prince and the Showgirl - Laurence Olivier or Marilyn Monroe?
Thelma Ritter in All about Eve or Rear Window?
Thelma Ritter in The Misfits, or All About Eve?
All About Eve, partly because I haven't seen The Misfits. The trailer, as you mentioned elsewhere, is unbelievably bad.
trailers (warning to non-Sparks, non-f_d people: spoilers abound):
The Deer Hunter?
Separate names with a comma.
