Picking up from the last thread.

If you had the means to go to the Sochi Olympics, then would you go?

    Yay, why not :drama:
Nay, don't want to validate something being held to glorify a bigoted regime stuck in the Stone Age :EVILLE:

2002 because of the judging scandal and the double gold in pairs. I am actually the only person on earth who believes B&S deserves to be sole gold medal winner, if only because S&P used the same LP for 3 straight seasons. :slinkaway There was just one too many gold medals that year for my liking. The IOC should have just picked a winner and not chickened out. LOL

You are not alone, even in your beleaguered city.

    2001: A Space Odyssey

Do you wish there had been a team event in figure skating at previous Olympic Games?

    eys
non, though I'm glad there will be one in Sochi (or, at least, I'm willing to give it a chance)
non, and I don't like the idea that there's going to be one now

    Certainly not.

The movements were trying to capture the wonder of said flora's sexual organs rocking majestically against the wind. I believe.

Sorry Madam! But I choose to reserve my rep for only masterful works of commentary on our dear web board. Well, that, potty humor, and Lysacek bashing. :psoty:

    Rodriguez. Barely.

    Worst people on the freeway?

Drivers who are driving too slow for the (usually left) lane they're in
Drivers who don't have their lights on when it's dark, no matter how many people "flash" them to give them a sign
Drivers who don't have their lights on when the weather's bad, even though they have their wipers on
    Drivers in minivans
    Drivers in Subarus
    Drivers in big honkin' Cadillacs
Drivers going extra slow because they're towing big, heavy trailers or RVs
Drivers from out of state, with no clue where they're going
Drivers with the blinkers on, nonstop
Drivers who can't drive straight because you can see they're on the phone or texting, because their phones are that bright and you can see the glow from behind
All of the above, especially as they aren't necessarily mutually exclusive :EVILLE:

Don't you drive a minivan?

The worst thing I've seen is on Texas freeways where actual people sit on the beds of trucks. :yikes: The second worst is when people haphazardly string an unsafe amount of furniture onto their vehicles. I once ran over a mattress on I-45.

NON! It's an SUV, silly, and it's quite fuel efficient as far as SUVs go, and furthermore, I always drive at a constant speed, under the radar, and never in everybody's way. Don't you drive a beat-up, slow-a** Subaru? :p

Boobleva, just for the cheap laughs with her name. You missed the best wardrobe malfunction of all, Polish ice dancer Sylwia Nowak from the 1997 or 1998 era, where her entire boob flopped out while she was in an arms-over-head "come everyone look at this" pose, complete with sh*t-eating open-mouthed grin exposing her misaligned teeth. You also missed Melissa Gregory's infamous 2003 or 2004 malfunction which was broadcast on ABC unedited despite it not being live.

Yes, and the mileage is still good, although not as good as when the car was new.

:violin: If it looks like a minivan, drives like a minivan, smells like a minivan.......

 Polish dentistry is at least as good as the English I'll have you know. :soapbox: Actually, my first fillings were in England. I occasionally pick up the smooth jazz station. :)

MLP--I never saw Buffy the Vampire Slayer (unless you count the porn version, but who hasn't seen that naughty romp? :drama:). Anyway I'll go with Angel because I am well aware of his hotness.

225 horsepower in my SUV that does 0-60 in a flash, sioux, beat that with your duct-taped lawnmower of a car. :p

Canadians are somewhat cuter when younger, perhaps because they're not as fat as Americans are on average, but they don't seem to age well, either, probably because of overrepresented British stock in the gene pool. :p

If perpetually looking like you're driving to soccer practice makes you happy, then so be it. ;)

How many people who live in California actually need an incredibly polluting SUV?

    No one
    No one

And by the way, "soccer" doesn't exist in most of the world. You should bring your little country into line with the rest of us, including all the Brits who start acquiring really deep, deep lines and wrinkles and grey hair around the time they become eligible to vote.

    Goodbye.
