George C. Scott and the streaker could have accepted it jointly.

If you had the opportunity to appear in a film, would you? :sekret:

Something epic and hilarious* like Caligula? Yes. Otherwise, no.

    more despicable form of snobbery:

    food snobbery
    or
    porn snobbery

    * the scenes with Peter O'Toole, anyway.

    *pinches falling_dance's dimples* :D

cleft chins seem like a deformity on most people :yikes: Katharine Ross had a cutish one though. ;) I'll have to go with dimples :D

Slowly, Johnny_Cat is building his army of minions. I caught him teaching the baby tapir to charge at piles of rubbish with photos of my face taped to them.

IS THERE NO STOP TO HIS DEPRAVITY?????

Charlemagne sez he'll round up an army in your defense if there's enough canned meat and fish in it.

July 17 birthday deathmatch: Berenice Abbott or James Cagney?

Shouldn't he research the causes of our domestic warfare before he chooses sides? ;) It's a truly inspiring epic that combines elements of The Wizard of Oz and Schindler's List. :shuffle:

WHAT! Canned meat and fish?? We're in a war, son! :soapbox:

 birthday deathmatch? I'll go with Cagney ftw

It's humorously (and, therefore, acceptably) obnoxious. :saint: As for lewdness, once you've typed "ear orgasms" in large pink and orange fonts, you're a ruined maid on FSU.

Johnny_Cat is a Nazi?! In that case, Charles withdraws his demands for free Fancy Feast. His ragtag army of himself, Edward G., Tennyson and Thylias Tapir, Michael the Bull, F. Murray Abraham, the surviving Efrafans, and the last-ever lineup of the Miami Sol will reach your fractious homestead within the fortnight.

    There. Now, that's obnoxious. :)

the last good year for Saturday Night Live:

    1992
    1993
    1994
    1995
    sometime after that (please specify)
sometime before any of the above listed years (again, please specify)
It's never been a bad show.

    So I'm a...............ruined maid?????

That was never said. Geez falling_dance you're worse than American media*. Don't judge until I've told the tale. :drama: (Oh dear you've unleashed the army....)

I grew up on Saturday Night Live...The 90's. SNL was really my first intake of "adult humor". To this day, that show, along with help from the Saturday Night Live Band is my first association (word association if you will ;)) with the thing called "New York City".
I felt the show was somewhat too "straight" and male dominated in some ways however and found myself flipping channels to the "realness" and strongly empowering urban mischief of MADtv. I will say something about Phil Hartman, however, who was a <3<3dear crush,</3. :( I loved his suaveness, confidence, and assholism which overlay a playful tenderness.

Even now I take shades from him in SOcial encounters. Rest in sweet peace.

*purposely flatulent comment. All mass media is the devil.

    RIP Phil Hartman. :(

This probably isn't the time to suggest that you edit a high-circulation women's magazine, is it?

provocative claims made by siouxdonym in the last hour:

    Johnny_Cat is a Nazi.
New York City only exists in the collective imaginary.
MADtv sowed urban discord in the 1990s.
Howard Stern is the king of the Underworld.

Okay, but that still leaves three pretty sensational claims to choose from.

This game thread isn't ever going back to the old format, is it?

    yes, it will.
    no, it won't.

Sigh, Johnny_Cat is not a Nazi. When Johnny_Cat "arrived" he came with a note that bespoke of his capricious mental abilities, including his capacity for making powerful psychological connections with other entities. Unfortunately, among his first connections were the families of scorpions living within the foundation of our house. :shuffle: After discovering a baby male writhing in our sink one morning :)scream:) we invested in some powerful insecticide and removed them from population. Johnny_Cat was horrified. It didn't help when Beau, friendly and clueless, chased down and injured a quail while it sat having a conversation with Johnny_Cat. Ever since then we have been deemed a murderous fascist regime (you should see the propaganda he leaves around the neighborhood...) and I have for months maintained the #1 spot on his KILL list. (he often leaves these around the house....)

But enough about my domestic problems.

    petals.

Scorpions are insects, are they? Amazing what you learn on FSU. :p

Ghost stories, yes, if they're intelligently done.

Slasher films - do you know how many twinky winky zinger gingers I could buy for the price of admission?

How big was the biggest spider you've ever seen? :COP:

    An inch across
    Two inches across
    Saucer-sized
Dinner plate sized - and then we captured it and grilled it for lunch? :yikes:

"Insecticide" is a commercial terminology for "undesirable creepy crawly killer".

Dinner plate sized--at the San Diego zoo behind an inch of glass. :)

Wait (she said eleven hours later), do you mean "last year" or "last season"? And is it a matter of competing with Witt, Thomas, Manley, et al, or is this with today's lineup only?

f_d,, that question is too hard. Can you think of an easier one? By the way, my ex-husband, who goes by the name of Mr. X, has agreed to crochet me the sperm!!!!!! He asked me what colour, and I said, "I think it'll have to be white, don't you? - I can always put it in the washing machine if it gets grubby."
