Note that misskarne has yet to return to this thread. Must be a nice trip :p

More classical, and Klimkin: I loved his Swan Lake SP.

Lol, I’ll try to link more Abt-classics later on to bring misskarne to return.
(Or maybe some Gachinski-clips might help as well? ;))

    For now some Rimsky-Korsakov, Sheherazade:

    Totmianina-Marinin: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7rAR0eXjHE (2005 EC, LP)
Michelle Kwan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yR4VtmHh0Wc (2002 US Nats, LP)

We have the same taste - I too love this one and linked it earlier on! Simply a masterpiece! :swoon:

    Sasha Abt :encore: :swoon:

Anyone for a Matt Savoie trip to Barber's Adagio? :inavoid:

Ahhhh...! It would be great if another great skater would skate to this music (perhaps Jeremy Abbott or Adam Rippon could do it justice on the men's side, and Mao Asada or Alissa Czisny on the ladies side).

And if you're into "dreamstates" check out William Orbit's rendition of Barber's Adagio:

A few clips to Borodin's Prince Igor (Polovetsian Dances):

    Bestemianova / Bukin: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7Wp0vBpZRg (WC 1998, FD)

    Domnina / Shabalin: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AawKFUNmRM (WC 2007, FD)
So sad that they couldn't fully realize their potential. :(

    Promissed special for misskarne :):
Sasha Abt: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1SsRtxMuNU (Skate America, 1995, FD)
One part of the music he skates to is actually called "gliding dance of the maidens"

Finally kind of techno version by Elena Sokolova: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONYqcSRQHe4 (EC 2004, SP)
I never get over but to :rofl::rofl: about her clapping on her butt! Certainly not a traditional classic programme! :p

Barber's Adagio for violin is one of my most favorite pieces of music. Matt Savoie's skate to this was wonderful. I can see Jeremy doing justice to it, but not sure about Adam.

    Laurent Tobel 'Carmen'.

    Laurent Tobel 'Swan Lake'
