I can't imagine it being otherwise. With Lady Gaga (second album not nearly as good IMO) and Katy Perry for competition? Bruno Mars is good but still...

I believe Song of the Year is a songwriting award. Record of the Year is for the performer and the producer.

I thought it was specific song vs album?

Who won for indie btw? Wasn't it The Black Keys last year?

Adele with a very well deserved sweep tonight. I love her voice. I wasn't the biggest fan of her album overall since I think a lot of the songs run together, but she is very well deserving in this field.

 I'm glad I'm not alone just loving her look tonight. I think I'll throw on some fake lashes this week.

Her speech is just adorable. "Just a rubbish relationship."

I could go on forever about how mad that's made me.

I heard 21 for the first time over a year ago and I knew, immediately, that it was going to be one of the best albums I ever heard. So deserving. Is her 6 wins the most for a female in one night? For some reason I remember 5 being the previous record, I think Norah Jones and Beyonce won that many in one night.

From the first time I heard "Rolling in the Deep," I knew it would win Song of the Year. The first time I listened to 21, I knew it would be Album of the Year.

Adele's music trancends genres, ages, generations, everything.... She has a rare ability to take the best of everything and meld it into her own unique sound.

If anything comes along in the next decade that I like better than 21, I'll consider myself lucky.

    Well deserved congratulations, Adele! :respec:

:kickass: Macca running around the stage. Love this! I see a Foo, Bruce, Joe Walsh. Who else?

PS - Rumor Has It is my favorite song off 21. That's depth.

I can't pick one. But aside from Rolling in the Deep, which I love, I adore One and Only.

ETA: One of the twitter trending topics is #SufrocomoLadyGaga which means "suffering like Lady Gaga" and some of those hysterically snarky

Clearly I was living under a rock the last year because I don't remember hearing much about them and now they are everywhere at this Awards show and winning 5(!) Grammys.

If Chris Brown got to go up twice, why shouldn't a decent band get almost twice that? :p

I loved Set Fire To The Rain before it was a single. Any love for Someone Like You was slightly killed by the massive over play it had. I literally couldn't escape the song, so at least it's a good one.
