Ooh, that reminds me of AY's One Banana exhibition costume. Made up on the fly and lots of black shoe polish. It wasn't for a competition so maybe doesn't count.

Oh my goodness - how awful are all those? Thanks for the cringing and shuddering and the laugh!

Also - the funniest thing is the awful costumes look almost sane next to the really really awful costumes!

Let me guess. They were skating to a medley of Cats, the Lion King, the Jungle Book, Madgascar and the soundtrack to Big Cat Diary but couldn't make up their minds as to what breed of cat they should be.

    Just discovered this thread!

Thank you so much for this! Absolutely love it!:kickass:

I must say I cannot believe I could possibly vote for something else than S/S' short program costume, because how could any costume get any worse than a scribbly/skitties-vomit costume, right?

Thanks to you, I now know it can indeed get even worse

Just for that, I think you deserve a medal

PS: what about this one http://thesocietypages.org/socimages/files/2010/01/19846348-600x400.jpg

I have to say, every time I watched these types of costumes such as Zenkova/ Sinitsin, I thought they weren't great until I remembered how much I loved the musical 'Cats' and how fitting and normal these costumes were in that musical. Then they didn't look that bizar on the ice to me. Either something is wrong with me or I learnt the way of thinking of the designers of these outfits. ;)

Can I submit this for consideration? Brent alone could take the poll, but her eye makeup is :scream:

Maybe they were trying to confuse the judges. I skated in a pair of pants with a similar pattern once, and my coach said he couldn't tell my legs apart.

Part of the rule is that if a costume is cut low in the front, it cannot be cut low in the back as well, whether or not the area is covered by illusion fabric. I'm wondering about Samantha Cesario's "Swan Lake" FS costume, which she designed. It's cut low in front and back.

If she wears this costume at JW, will she get a costume violation?
