Well, there is that too....
I totally did not understand his logic at that one at all! Why did he think showing up with no surfboard was a good idea? I kind of missed his reasoning because I was yelling at my TV at the time. I miss a lot doing that.
He just didn't recognise any!! And he didn't want to get it wrong!
I feel dumber just from having known John for these past few Sundays.
My faves are dad/son, Pam/Winnie, and the Hockey Brothers. I think I might also like the Roller Derby Moms. They seem like they are pretty tough.
I read that Lance helped Connor identify the right doctors for his medical treatment, and put Connor in contact with Lance's doctors. Plus the under-23 development team he was on was co-sponsored by Livestrong last year. I suspect he still supports the work the foundation, but I doubt he was too surprised by the revelations.
I wish Phil would have said "and John firmly held onto the express while loosing his mind" as that's what the last episode looked like to me!
and replayed the "oy vey" comment.
Caution U-Turn ahead
Dave & Connor quitting the race.
I think that is a wise decision. Hope his surgery went well.
Okay, I get that you don't want to U-Turn your friends, but it's a RACE. I'd U-Turn the hockey players in a heartbeat, and then the Newlyweds
I love how Dave and Connor ran up to the mat like they were racing. Sad to see them go. I'm glad they got prizes.
Thank you TAR for reviewing the alliance and friendships. I couldn't remember who was helping who.
Sure are alot of alliances on the race this season.
And I agree, u-turning the Hockey brothers and Max & Katie should be everyone's main target no matter how friendly they are!!
Why would Mrs. Mullet not do this task?????
The hockey players would U turn themselves. They won't hesitate to take out an opponent if given the chance. They have the false teeth to show it.
Are any of our patriotic songs that creepy?
That is baffling. I think they must plan to DQ themselves when he runs out of roadblocks.
So YouTube is now a few minutes behind because of their alliance. Good plan.
We did that bamboo dancing in elementary school! It is so much fun and gets really complicated.
Both of these detour choices seem very tough!
They really do, sucks for a u turn, but they've already eliminated a team this leg.
Pam & Winnie are completely crushing it on this leg!
Pam and Winnie are quickly moving to my favorite list. They're doing a good job. Mullet and Ms. Mullet are lucky someone quit because they will be next to go. Pitiful. Hockey boys are really good also. Getting whacked by those pucks hasn't hurt their critical thinking skills at all.
The market task seems MUCH more difficult.
Wow great leg by Pam & Winnie!!!
Question: Can Joey and Meghan U-turn someone?
I'd find the market task easy. I'd know what everything on that list is by sight or smell. And it's easy to weigh the items.
Does anyone else have trouble with sound on TAR? We have a terrible time hearing anyone talking over the music ever since we got the new TV and sound system. We've been messing with our sound settings, but so far, it doesn't help. It's only TAR and one other show that causes us this problem.
Are the stalls set up where you weigh the items? Or the proprietor? I think the language barrier is big.
YouTube was smart. They didn't u turn a threat, because it would just leave them even, they u turned the team they thought would be slowest nothing personal. And word about the hockey players eating their alliance alive.
LMAO about the market now "they want the same thing, just give us the list" - and then they got the wrong stuff!
How long before Chuck gets he doesn't have a chicken?
Prancer, the music is louder than the voices, but not to the point you can't hear it.
Poor editing again not to show us why Bates and Anthony went from 2nd to 4th and were happy to be 4th. They must have gotten another bad cabbbie!
Does YouTube think C/W are on the second half of the detour? They seem too stressed for their lead.
When did country girls finish? I missed that.
I think Wynnona is crying because they're still racing.
The communist song.
Poor Wynnonna, she sure doesn't want to be doing the race!
I've pretty much enjoyed each episode of this season so far.
Great locations, no team to really hate on and some decent racing so far. The only "negative" has been all the alliance building, talk, etc. Just race please!
I'm not eating a live scorpion. There is not enough money in the world. Hello, four hour penalty!
I'd be right there sitting next to you in the penalty box!
If you got it recorded, go back and listen carefully. When everyone was reading the directions out loud, the end part said something about "run" or "running" (which was run that picture back into the theater to the director guy before the 5 minutes was up). She emphasized the word "running" and said to Chuck "you do it". Geez. Why is she even on this race!
There would be 3 of us there! No friggin' way in hell. I'd risk elimination before I did that.
Agree with that one too. At that point (you being first on the U-Turn list) you gotta U-turn someone. I think I would pick the weakest team that I thought I could beat versus the strongest team, simply because they would still probably beat me, and then make a bigger target on my back for the next U-Turn (there's always 2, aren't there?). That was a good call. I woulda picked C&W as well.
I agree, except that I am sort of enjoying the of the various alliances and anti-alliances. This season so far has been great!
I wasn't stressed out watching tonight's episode at all since I knew that Dave and Connor had withdrawn. Now, I know that Pam and Winnie told the other teams that they were still racing, but that was the night before they were even able to get their first clue. Did teams not figure out that Dave and Connor were either not coming back (or that even if they were, they weren't with them at any of the tasks) or ....? I don't know. My guess is, some teams may have put 2 and 2 together but the editors made it so that no teams other than Pam and Winnie and Max and Katie knew.
Next week's episode looks interesting to say the least.
