Very gracious and nice post from Max. So glad for him that he didn't give up last year.
Truly! Besides his skating ability, the two things I love most about Max are that he is unfailingly gracious in his public interactions, and grateful for the opportunities that he's been given.
After going through the withering criticism, and self-doubt, he has grown stronger, more confident, and determined to work hard and take nothing for granted.
Max received many great comments to his Facebook message...including this nice one from Paul Wylie on 04/22:
^ Aw ... that's sweet!

Max and Gracie Gold tagged in 3 adorable pix on Facebook:
Saw these earlier today & what a good looking couple they make.
Yes , they do!
Such lovely pictures. (I'm not so sure about Gracie's fluoroescent dress!)
(And I think Max might be surgically attached to his suit! )
Gracie tweeted this about the suit pic...:
EDIT: Max later retweeted this message.
New tweet from Max:
This is probably old news...
NATIONAL CHAMPION MAX AARON JOINS ICE DREAMS CAST!
We are pleased to announce that US National Champion Max Aaron will perform in Jamestown, NY on May 11th and Oakland, CA on June 2nd
Max is so tiny! Amazing the power and speed he has in his skating given he is so small. I'm not just talking about height either, he's a very narrow, small, frame. No fat all muscle and very compact. He must have been a great hockey player although in the figure skating world he must find it nice to be comparable in size to his competitors rather than coming up to their waists . Also, maybe he should invest in another suit (or at least coat) with some of his prize money so he doesn't need to wear that grey one everywhere, as good as it looks.
Love the pictures in his tron suit with the robot arms
You're correct...he's very compact, like a gymnast. His slender frame and moderate height make it a little easier to rotate those quads...as if quads are EVER easy!
I'm looking forward to a dark suit in his future.

EDIT: New pic from Facebook...
Where did I see a recent picture of him and a few other male skaters--his proportions were SO different from Josh Farris (and it looked like they were the same height). Josh has much longer legs and is just a slenderer build--Max is definitely more compact and "square"
Also cracking up at the robot arms.

Interesting how men with such different builds can excel in this sport. Both Josh and Jeremy have very long legs for their respective heights, which makes the contrast with Max, who is just the opposite, short legs with a long torso, even more noticeable. Funny too is that Max is the fastest guy out there while Josh with those long legs is one of the slower skaters among the top guys. Jeremy doesn't seem particularly fast either.
Scott Hamilton was a really fast skater, too. The shorter guys get their legs working like pistons; they can generate tremendous speed and power with each stroke.
In that picture above, Max looks tall...compared to Scott.

dardar, thanks for all the Max updates! It's so nice to see him get some positive recognition after such an amazing season. Hope the good results, etc. continue for him.
Max is probably like a lot of 20-21 years old, and probably only has one or two suit options in his whole wardrobe. I wouldn't call Gracie's dress flourescent (especially compared to so many ice dancers we see ), I think it's more a coral/salmon color. They both look super cute in those pictures though!
Max's TRON costume goes to the museum...
