:swoon: I got home just in time to catch Mark & Lauren's dance. Yup, Mark needs to dress like that all the time please!

That was a lot of fun to watch, and Mia's comment had me

Adechike and Anya- a really trick filled dance coming up

I liked the itty bitty parts of the choreo where they actually had Adechike dance. The rest of it made me kind of nervous. They did the Anya going down his leg well.

I'm in brain freeze- was that Salsa or a Samba.

Adechike in a cut to the waist green shirt. After Mark-meh.

Judges liked the dance. They said it was really hard and Adechike did it well. A small bit of criticism from Mia.

They are filling the time gap by letting the dancers talk about how they felt about the dance. Lauren almost cried when she got tahitian because she didn't think she could do it. Adechike was really afraid the difficulty of the choreography was going to end up with him in the bottom three.

Ok, I heard Jose say "Showing the character and his penis is really important...."
I even rewound and heard it the same.

    Jose and Courtney-

Mister Cellophane- Chicago. What a great song.

The choreographers never make it about Jose's dancing. But Jose was too cute for the part.

Nigel is calling him out on his bad dancing. Good.
So is Mia. She hates not liking it. Wants to hug Jose.
Adam is giving dance pointer- about lines and other stuff. Find finish in his arms, etc.
They all say he needs lessons.

Jose says he was just trying to play the part. Courtney talks about what a hard worker he is.

I didn't think Courtney did that well in this routine either. Bad concept, bad choreography, badly danced.

That was...a bit of a train wreck. I feel bad for Jose, though honestly at some point he really should be critiqued on his dancing ability.

ITA not being called out each week wasn't fair to the other dancers.

They need to bring back the Broadway choreographer who did Billy's Cats dance last week. He's my favorite of the show's Broadway choreographers.

So, I haven't watched all seasons of this show. Did Allison win when she competed?

Robert,Allison, - Piece about Travis's mother. Allison the mother, Robert is Travis.

    Fix You- Coldplay

Robert missed one step in the middle, I think. But Robert, Allison, and Travis are all teary right now.

Robert's lines were a nice match for hers. I liked it.

    I want Robert to stay.

eta- Mia meltdown. Says it was Roberts best. Adam wants an Emmy nom-performance of the season. congratulations.

Robert dances like he is so much older than he is.

etaa- Billy is on deck to dance the jive with Anya- and his grin looks to me like he is green with envy over Roberts dance.

Jose needs to go into politics with his ability to have people not care that he has no skills.

I'm not a fan of sick people choreo or literal choreo. I loved the fast part in the middle but the part where she walked on his feet went on too long and just reminded me of the running man with angsty faces.

I predicted this as soon as I heard that Travis had choreographed a dance about breast cancer for Robert.

My mother has been healthy so far, knock on wood, but I started crying at the very beginning of the routine. Wow, I haven't really been a fan of Robert, but I though that was by far the best he's danced, emotion of the routine aside. Alison is my favorite female dancer ever on the show and she just keeps getting better and better for me.

With emotional porn no matter what Robert will stay. It was beautiful though. I think Robert dances like he thinks he too tall or something. Different choreography from Travis for nice a change.

I'm probably going to hell but I didn't think the choreography for Robert's dance was that good :shuffle:

I think Robert did a nice job and deserves to stay, but I hate these emotionally manipulative dances. It's so unfair to the other dancers. Maybe the show should just have a terminal illness week where every dance is like-themed so it's fair to everyone.

I agree completely with Matryeshka. The worst thing is the reaction of the judges. They are always over-the-top and embarrassing and usually reduce the power (if there is any) of the routine.

I can't get past the terrible music cuts. Paradise by the Dashboard Lights. This is worse than Evan's Grease number!

Need a roomate? There's something very manipulative about those routines, and then the judges play who's the most touched by it and make it more about themselves than the dancers.

YES. No matter who drew that card, they were going to get lavished with praise for how moving it was.

That said, I do like Robert and always have.
