Thought I would go ahead and start the thread for tonight. I'm really excited about the all stars, well the female ones for sure, for tonight.

Christina Applegate and Lil' C are the guest judges tonight :cheer:

I'm not agreeing with Christina that this is the best season ever. I just don't think the choreography has bee up to par with some of the other seasons.

...and the dancers disappear into a blinding white screen...have they been teleported away? Cat rolled out of bed and made it in to host without time to do her hair..

...or apparently she borrowed Christina Applegate's stylist. (-who sorta danced when she was three. Has she ever danced professionally?)

The Dance Day videos look like so much fun. I wish I had co-workers who would do this.

She was the lead in Sweet Charity in Broadway.

Melanie and Twitch- Nappy Tabs- Little Red Riding Hood with swag

Roman's Revenge- nickii Minaj (I kinda love this song. My daughter plays it a lot.)

Melanie's costume is horrid. She looked a little bit tentative about the unison moves, but really threw herself into the emotion of the dance.

    I love Lil C's monologues.

Cat's dress reminds me of Nancy Kerrigan's '94.

I think that was Melanie's weakest dance ever

I thought Melanie did well, not her best, but well.

Funny how Nigel is trying to act like Melanie hasn't gotten the pimp in dance selections.

Am I the only person that is missing Disco from this season?

    Kent :scream:

Sasha and Kent? Talk about opposite types. Too bad Mark is busy with Lady Gaga.

Agreed. I was watching the Monster Ball tour on HBO again the other night and Mark really stood out amongst all of those dancers.

I think Tyce should be banned from choreographing Broadway. His Broadway routines almost always suck, but his jazz and contemporary have been pretty good this season. Better, in my opinion, than what Mandy Moore has put out.

Sasha, Kent and Tyce. I love Tyce's non-Broadway stuff. Fingers crossed.

    Fool of Me- Meschel Ni....

    Kent is all grown up.

Love the dancing, the staging, the lighting, the choreo, loved it. Sasha seemed to love dancing with Kent.

eta- I don't think Christina really likes her. (adores may be a better word)

The men in my room are not very impressed with all the tears. I agree with the judges. Even Lil' C is crying.

And Nigel- KEEP TYCE DOING JAZZ

I think Sasha may have put herself in the lead with that dance.

    Capella Guest

I'm only half-remembering Jeannette. Was she the salsa dancer?

Marko...sigh...I thought that was pretty meh. She was leading the whole time and he didn't own it. First time he's disappointed me.

ETA: and his hair  so Trekkie and not in a good way

    Marko and Janine-Paso Doble

I found that a bit boring. Not nearly the agression and tension I like to see.

My husband is enjoying Mary's cleavage tonight.

I am still trying to understand why everyone thinks Sasha is all that. The performance was ok, but I am still not a fan.

Boring paso other than using Jeannette as a cape (although I thought he was going to drop her).

    Ricky - that was smooth.

Ricky's solo- He dances with such lovely fluidity when he isn't constrained by precise unison or rhythm.
