Jim Parsons accepted Johnny's challenge. Good pick, because his video has almost 60.000 views:
Any news about the board of USFSA?
Adam Rippon and Ashley Wagner
I know that this thread is about skaters accepting the challenge; but here's a video of a woman living with ALS who also gets into the spirit of things, and voices appreciation for the awareness being raised about the disease: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10203666426919984&fref=nf
It is truly a horrible disease, and I hope they get mucho donations to the cause. A friend of mine died a horrible lingering death this past year, and not only was it terrible for her but also for her husband and children after living with it for over 5 years. I pray they find a cure and soon. I really cannot imaging how awful it must be to lose your ability to move, eat, and even breath.
That was amazing. What a brave, plucky, big-hearted woman. I am glad these seemingly frivolous acts are so very appreciated by their intended beneficiaries. I saw an article a couple days ago that named a figure over $1 million that has been raised since the Ice Bucket Challenge started. My own awareness has been raised and I am making my contribution via this woman's two sons' team, Kids4Cure.
That was well done! and AWWWW... another red toy poodle person -- along with Mao... and me!
I agree. I am a physiotherapist and thus have had patients with ALS. Some skaters haven't even mentioned this illness at all...I do wonder if any of them has the slightest idea of what dealing with this illness is. I doubt that a random skater randomly throwing dome water on them is going to help all the people who died and will keep on dieing because of ALS. On the contrary, I loved how some other skaters took time to post links on how to donate and/or showed their donation in the video.
Sorry, I didn't mean to sound very harsh but I don't like when people take as a joke something which is done to help such horrible diseases.
Charlie Sheen, of all people, got this right. His version of the ice bucket challenge:

Todd Eldredge with help from his stepson
Meryl Davis posted something on Twitter today about needing to extend her 24 hour challenge to 48 because apparently she and Danica McKellar have something big planned. I don't know if she's going to where Danica is or vice versa. They were challenged by Amy Purdy and Candace Cameron Bure so whatever's going down will take place in the next day or two! Hasn't Charlie been challenged yet?
Charlie was challenged by Gracie. He posted it today.

Maia, Alex and Charlie posted their complete Ice Bucket challenge video on the Shibsibs Youtube channel
They do an especially thoughtful job, making sure to include information about ALS and the cause itself. They donated as well.
The one and only Brian Orser
eta: Whoop, here's a better version.
LOL - Good one!
Kanako Murakami (split into two videos)
She nominates Mai Asada, Takeshi Honda and.... Daisuke Takahashi.
haha Charlie and his contagious laugh ...
Has this one from Max Settlage been posted? http://instagram.com/p/r5vD34BwD7/?modal=true
I think his and Scott Moir's are my favorite skater ones so far, though I love the Shibs for actually explaining the cause as part of their challenge.
Charlie looks a bit like Seth Rogen with his glasses on

Brian's reaction is hilarious.
yeah Brian wins. He did an emotional axel into a lake, beat that.
Aaaaand we have another winner! In other news, I need to get out of my obsession with all these IBCs.
I think it's great that ALS is getting so much attention from the public.
It does make me wonder why someone didn't think to do something like this for more prevalent diseases or social issues though. It would be great if someone started new challenge to raise money/awareness for homelessness/education/disaster relief/refugees in war torn countries/cancer research/etc. and could get all of the celebrities and public figures to join in.
Just think about how much money and awareness could be raised if people venture out beyond this one issue.
Brian Boitano had a pretty epic one!
