My favorite summer fun show. This year has Howard Stern no less. I love this show for all the weird, bizarre acts. I hope this year the winner will NOT be a singer. Go magicians, dance troupes, dog acts (which won Britian's version), and general bizarreness. :cheer2:

The acts suck so far, but Stern is cracking me up so I'm good.

Father/Daughter act No 1 were cute but bad. Father/Daughter act No 2 were amazing. The girl is a fantastic singer. I hope they go far. Her dad is there to give this kid a break. They are street muscians and she has a real chance to be a star.

So far it seems like the Howard Stearns show. I don't know if I can stay with it.

So far my favorite part is the new google ad with the muppets - great ad.

So far, I'm liking Stern, although he is a bit dominating.....but far more entertaining than Piers Wet Noodle Morgan. The act I like the best so far (only saw the first show) is the Earth Harp - that was fascinating!

I've only seen about half of the 1st show but I agree. The earth harp is unreal.

I only saw the end of the harp. Most of the acts were awful, but Stern is cracking me up.

    The "Earth Harp" is fascinating.
However, how will he make it intriguing for more than one performance?

He is me too. I do wonder how he negotiated all the air time for himself. Sharon and Howie are being ignored. I liked the father/daughter singer on Monday and dog ventriloquism act on Tuesday. I think they sent through a lot of good acts without showing them. I like the weird and wonderful for a few shows, then they start getting a bit old and I'm ready to see the talented. My favorite part of this show is the variety. I almost wish they wouldn't let singers audition and keep it more variety centered. I'm really hoping for a non-singing act to win this time. It's been a long time since one did.

I don't usually watch the show and tuned in for Stern. I think he's great on the show and will keep me watching. He's so much better than any of the "judges" on American Idol.

Maybe a dog act will win this year. Very fun.

Howard Stern isn't obnoxious at all and makes sensible comments.
    A very pleasant surprise.

This is taking too long. I can't remember if there are any good acts.

And I assume they will need an Olympic break too.

Has anyone been watching but me? :D

Love love love that David Garibaldi painter group. He is feckin' brilliant! I certainly hope he takes those paintings and puts them in a gallery or sells them, because I bet fans would pay some major mulla for those paintings. Very cool last night when he painted the picture black and it had the reverse image on the other side. How do people even think up stuff like that in the first place.

He got all my votes last night. He will likely get them every time .... uhm, unless he goes up against the doggie act that advanced straight to NYC we haven't seen yet. :dog: Then I will have to split my votes. Bring on the doggies!

I'm watching, but on delay. Took me less than an hour to watch the four hours from Vegas. I'm saving last night's show for this weekend.

I liked the brother dance act and the brass band. Dance act has gone through. We'll see about the brass band.

Howard Stern started out OK but is waaay too full of himself at this point. This is NOT the Howard Stern show.

Does it seem like Sharon and Howie are a little  at Howard?

I like the painter but there was an act like that that made the club rounds in NY in the 80s so it's not original. The rest that went thru are fine.

I agree with the judges. The comic is the best act this year. I also like the lion dancers and the 14-year-old singer.

I don't think the lion dancers will go through. If tween girls are voting, the rock band will go. The girl was good, but not as good as the girl from last week (they'll put them against each other at some point). The older guy singer was OK. I can't believe most of the other acts got this far.

Lions/Turk were decent, but after that, it was blah till the comedian came on.

I liked the beginning of the girl dance group, but it got cheesier as it went on.

The aerialists are ok, but the routine isn't polished and there are too many breaks in it.

14 year old singer was on and off key.

    Band was AWFUL.

    Light painting was boring.

Danger guy took so much set up time, I got bored.

Older singer does nothing for me.

Illusionists are ok, nothing special though.

Big Barry -- this is ridiculous. It isn't the least bit funny. I totally agree with Howard that Howie should apologize to all the acts they eliminated.

    I agree!
    He's embarrassingly bad.
They gave him the "recognition" he needed by sending him to Vegas. He should have been sent home after that.
Do they want to turn the show into a compete joke by continuing to "advance" him?

He won't advance. It's all audience votes now. He'd have to be 4th or 5th and the panel would select. Since Howie is the only one who would vote yes, he's gone.

I'm betting he was likely 11th or 12th in the votes. They typically put up the highest and lowest vote getters first, then work their way down to end up with the 3 in the middle (4-6). Eliminate 6 and let the panel choose between 4th and 5th which I predict will be the band and the old guy.

I'd put Barry last with the light painters and the band in 10th/11th. But you are right, the teens will probably vote the band higher.

I think the teens would vote for the band if the band was any good. I thought they were awful. Only acts I liked were the comedian, the aerial act, & the magician in that order. The old singer was ok but not as good as in Vegas. I didn't like the girl singer last week or this week although the one last week was better.

Who did Sharon's & Howie's make-up for last night's show? It was garish on both plus Sharon looked facelifted to death. I FF thru Howie's talking now...he has nothing to say that I want to hear anymore & Sharon is fast becoming the same way. She doesn't have any credentials to judge other being married to a dopehead singer anyway.

The comic, the acrobats (husband and wife), the street dancer from San Francisco and the Joe Cocker type singer. I am also interested in the dogs. I think the comic might win it this year.

There were only a few acts who weren't boring last night. I liked the child ballroom and the light dancers (even though it is a lot like Team iLuminate). I didn't mind the band doing something original because I do get tired of all the cover tunes -- they were ok, not really my thing, but at least they had energy. The BMX acrobat dancers probably wouldn't hold my attention for hours, but they weren't boring. The rest didn't do much for me. Still haven't picked up the phone for anyone.

How many of these are left? 1 or 2? Still no dogs/harp, right?
