It seems everyone in the 90s had at least some Yanni in their programs, but how about New Age legend Kitaro?

    Here's a few great programs:

Maria Butyrskaya 1994 free skate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POcVjSr9W9U (love the head roll)

Hanae Yokoya 1996 free skate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Gy-Nzjuxx4 (undermarked, great arms in the step sequence, as mentioned in another thread)

Yuka Sato pro program: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2B210WOVATE (my favorite Yuka pro program)

Even the beginning of Lu Chen's 1995 free skate is Kitaro, I believe:

Wow! I liked Kitaro's music. But I didn't remember that these skaters made a program to his music..

Lu Chen's music sounds like Chinese music...

The opening music is from the Heaven and Earth soundtrack by Kitaro. Even though that was her "Last Emperor" program, only about 2 minutes of her music were actually from that score, the rest of it (besides Kitaro) came from Prokofiev ballets (Romeo and Juliet and The Tale of the Stone Flower). I thought it was impressive that that odd mashup of music actually worked pretty nicely.

The Heaven and Earth soundtrack is actually based on traditional Vietnamese music. That Guzheng-sounding harp instrument that you hear at the beginning of Lu Chen's program is actually a Vietnamese dan tranh

I thought the soundtrack was a bit heavy handed for the film, but by itself it's stunning

I'm a BIG fan of Kitaro

I wondered where the last two pieces came from! Thanks for the intel.

I love the music from The Last Emperor and wish more skaters would use it. I have to admit Lu Chen's program was cut together very nicely.

I loved this program. Thanks for linking it!

IIRC Ina and Dungjen used a Kitaro piece for their Olympic SP.
