Thanks a lot, Eislauffan and everyone who supports Japan.

Takahiko Kozuka visited 5 temporary shelters in Miyagi prefecture with Seiko Hashimoto, the president of JSF and a couple of speed skaters.
They played with children and cheered up Hanyu and local skaters who lost their home rink by the disasters.

And he will use his prize money in the World to buy vegetables and etc. which got damage on sales caused by a rumor in disaster areas.
He and Mao have a plan to invite victims to their ice show.

Daisuke Takahashi also has a plan to continue making charity shows after he will come back on the ice. He got surgery and removed the screw from his knee.

I know it won't make a huge difference considering the size of the tragedy but the Berlin radio station 94.3 rs2 had 15 year old Saskia Matsui and her family flown into Germany. Saskia is a skater too and will be able to train for free in Germany for the time being.

Clemens Brummer who did an internship in Japan last year will be mentoring her while in Germany hoping to make the move a little bit easier

I think that each effort to help is important and counts. When someone does something and helps just one person it can inspire others to follow the example. It always makes a difference. If everyone helps just a little bit, there will be a lot of help in the end.

Cool that Philippe Candeloro will skate in Japan! He was very popular when he competed. I remember how the ice was covered with flowers and gifts after he skated at Worlds in 1994!

"Skating Friends Support Japan" is now active at the Adult Competition. We are selling donated souvenirs. All money will be donated to our fundraiser at the end.

The season has started, and "Skating Friends Support Japan" are back in action. We raised 825 US Dollars at Nebelhorn Trophy and have reached 7,287 US Dollars now in total:

Thank you everyone for contributing to the fundraiser.

We also have new video messages from skaters that we'll upload soon. So stay tuned.

The next fundraiser will take place at the Finlandia Trophy next week. And everyone still can join us easily by donating through the website. :)

Six months have passed since the tragedy and the people in Japan still need our support. We do not forget and are always with you.

Skating Friends Support Japan has hit the Grand Prix now. Watch out for our banner at each event and for the Skating Friends postcards. You can also purchase a Skating Friends pin for a donation. If you are interested, PM me. We cannot have a booth at the events, unfortunately, but I can meet you at events during practice.

Here is Mirai Nagasu's video message: http://www.nyjalccfundraising.com/e/skatingfriends

The Savchenko/Szolkowy Trophy was auctioned off for 213 Euros and we raised another 252 Euros at German Nationals last weekend in Oberstdorf. So we are at 83 percent now:

It would be great if we fulfill our goal of 10 000 USD by the end of the season when our action ends. Please join us if you haven't yet. Thank you!
