I know Skate America was in Lake Placid this past year and 2010 Nationals will take place in Greensboro, NC (yay!:cheer:), but it seems like so many of the events have been in the Pacific Northwest or on the west coast.

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! I was just at a Blazers game the other night and we had a suite, I was thinking how awesome it would be to watch skating that way.

Not that I could afford that, but it will be cool for someone. :)

I thought I would not be able to attend another event without boarding a plane for a long time.

Well, that was quick. Go USA! Can't wait!

Interesting. Now if Skate Canada were in Victoria I would consider going to both.

It's because I put up a poll yesterday in the Trash Can. They wanted to have "winner"

Portland did a very good job IMHO for the Nationals a while back. Probably would be nice. If I am still commuting the West Coast for work I might give it a try!

I'm not saying anything this time because I'm going to Nationals in Greensboro, NC. :saint:

but I do think Skate Canada and the USFSA need to coordinate this east-west thing so one is east and one is west each year, in the future.

Ooooh, Portland? I wonder if they'll have a tribute to Tonya Harding, food carts, lumberjacks, hippies/hipsters, grunge, riotgurl, and strip clubs in the kids' group numbers :cheer2:. I'd go just to see that!

After finding Nationals competitions so LOOONG, I thought I had sworn off live skating events... But Portland is close and Grand Prix events don't last that long, right?? See y'all soon!! :D

Oooh, Rose Garden. There are several hotels within walking distance - a bunch of us stayed at the nearby Holiday Inn for 2005 Nationals.

Speaking of which, anyone in for a group ticket purchase? Am willing to organize. :40beers:

ETA: PM me if interested in a group ticket purchase / group hotel booking and I will organize. Am currently traveling overseas but will get back to everyone as a group after I get sufficient responses over the next few days to 1 week.

Ok, I will change it but I still won't go to the Pagoda. (I usually misspell Pittsburg(h). Till I went there anyway)
