    I'm not in Brooklyn anymore to ask :eek: so out of curiosity, does that literally translate to Happy New Year? And I'm seeing L'Shanah Tovah, is either more technically correct?

    Shana Tovah means in Hebrew: Good Year;

    L'Shanah Tovah means in Hebrew: for or to a Good Year.

    Returning to this thread since Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) begins tonight. For those observing the fast, have an easy one. G'mar Chatimah tovah - May you be sealed for a good year!
