request: hydrant lift

    Can someone tell me what the "Hydrant Lift" is? Or better yet point out a video?

    I heard it mentioned on the Manley Woman Skatecast.

    When the man tosses his partner over his head while skating backwards. He then turns forwards and catches his partner facing him.

    I thought Lloyd and Izzie did through watching cheerleading competitions. ?

    No, "Fly High, Say Bye" was a variation on this that starts the same but she shoots through his legs and comes out again in front... (hope I'm describing it correctly...)

    I haven't seen that in years -- but the couple of times I saw them do it live got a tremendous reaction. I'd forgotten how quickly Isabelle rotated on the triple twist, and Lloyd was strong as an ox.

    This was one of the few B&E programs I really enjoyed. It was very creative and well skated.

    Thanks for posting. It has been a long time since I saw a L & I clip...it was their exciting tricks that first got me watching skating.
