I am going to QC next week. We'll be camping near the city. Any suggestions from people who have been there of things we must see or do? Keeping in mind that my daughter is age 10. She doesn't mind museums, though. We will be there for three days.

We did a walking tour around vieux Quebec - it was great - it brings Canadian history alive. We booked it in the tourism centre, across the street from the Chateau Frontenac - very central and easy to find. I think it was about three hours long, but at a sauntering pace. It was a great activity for the first day because it oriented us to the old city. After that we had no problem finding our way around.

Taking the ferry across the St Lawrence is neat - not all that much on the other side but if you do it late in the day and come back as it gets dark the lights of the city are beautiful.

    Enjoy your visit!
