After looking at the collections, I'm convinced Oliver and Byrce hate women. Actually I'm underwhelmed by them all. Anya's is nice, but looks like Uli Junior' collection.

My favorite collection was actually Kimberly's. I love her use of the colors and several pieces are edgy and wearable. I always love it when a designer has the cajones to use color and prints in their collection.

Bert's collection was sophisicated but the color palette was "meh". But its a safe bet for his market/demographic he's going after. For me, if wanted sophisication, classic designs with a modern edge, I'm shopping the collection of Ms W'ren Scott. She takes classic pieces and uses color/prints to make them fresh.

Another note, did anyone check out the other Spring RTW collections?

Paris, Alexander McQueen's collection by Sarah Burton was PHENOMENTAL. Burton did a fabulous job.

I may be in the minority, but I really liked Laura and was sad to see her go. Her final collection was gorgeous, by far my favorite.

I like Anya's collection, but it's almost entirely made up of flowy, bold print dresses. Bert's was hit and miss. The rest were mediocre to bad, except for Anthony Ryan's which was :yikes:

Ugh, and that outfit, he looked like Debbie Gibson c. 1985 with that hat and rolled-up pants.

[I also happen to be one of the few Manhattan gays who completely reject the rolled-up leg with sockless wingtips look. Cuffed and wingtipped, yes, but not to look like I'm walking through a flood. Dang you, Thom Browne!!!] :drama:

I expected Anya to be a train wreck when this season began but it turned out she has some impressive chops.

I'm just not nearly as impressed with Anya's final collection as everyone else is. To call her Uli light is an insult to Uli who didn't just use bold prints but combined them in ways that was genius. And it's not all she did. She also made some really beautiful, well constructed pieces as well. Anya's collection isn't very interesting and isn't particularly original. It's just kinda "eh". Unfortunately, of the 4 designers remaining, it is definitely top 2. I think I prefer Victor's, but pretty sure the judges will declare her's groundbreaking and give her the win.

I'm resisting the urge to peek and spoil myself w/ the final 4's collections. But I'm so curious as to what kind of garments Anya was able to make w/ her limited sewing skills.

Bumping - anyone else watching this? Finale Part 1.

Josh is OTT, Anya's not even sewing, Kim was a little fashionista, and Viktor's still dressed odd.

Tim tweeted this earlier this week ...

Hmmm. Is saying that the obvious (/ teacher's pet / heavily edited as such) winner, Anya, does not win?

Or that they haven't actually announced the winner yet?

Or, my preference, that they allowed Burt or Anthony Ryan to compete, and he won? :p

I like Anya's long gold dress.

Dear Lord, what was up with the back of Josh's dress/pant monstrosity? :yikes:

^ If he just made it a dress, it would have been better.

However, I must admit, I liked Josh's collection the best. :)

 Judges pet didn't make fashion week!

That's the shocker of the season.

ETA: Oh she did. well okay then. Damn judges took too many lessons from Seacrest or something.

You could see that coming a mile away. Anya flopped, but they couldn't eliminate her. And Josh is so fake and such a dbag. He's so gross.

Josh is still covering himself in glory on the After the Runway show. :blah:

With all Josh's bitching about Anya's sewing skills, he should be ashamed of that wretched pants thing - threads hanging and it gapped in the butt. :yikes:

Viktor is still a rockstar. Loved the jacket, but I agree with Heidi, the pearls were too big.

Do Brooklyn girls carry huge purses?

    Anya was gifted again.

For all Josh was bitching, he kind of said what I was thinking, big surprise, all four are going, and where the heck did THAT come from.

To me Viktor was the only one who looked ready to go, and I give Heidi et al the point, the jacket was awesome but not with that dress. Josh's was surprisingly not horrible, but not great either (when Tim was looking at the print I wasn't thinking 'farmer in the dell', I was thinking "Golden Girls sensible pantsuit prints"). Kimberly I didn't really understand and Anya's was totally underwhelming.

Also, bitches can have the white jacket but the tuxedo jacket/top and the mirror shirt are mine.

Nah. Joshua is a raging drama queen who often needs to dial down the PMS, and he has bizarre tastes in prints, but as of yet he hasn't really produced anything that looks like clinical depression made fabric. (And per my other description, I'll take a print that looks like it came from the Golden Girls' costume trunk than Wretchen's Sears Catalog circa 1976.)

I hate it when they do that. Although I was glad they didn't bring in some guest judge with a bizarre opinion to sway the result.

    I didn't care for anyone's mini-collection.

Josh, who would wear a neoprene dress?
Aside from that, you need a major "attitude adjustment".
Didn't your mother teach you tact, or manners?

OMG HOW DARE YOU BRING UP HIS BELOVED DEAD MOTHER? :drama: DON'T YOU KNOW SHE'S DEAD AND HOW THAT HURTS?

But yeah. I wasn't wowed by anyone. It was just all kind of meh, except I did like Viktor's all right. I'm just hoping he's got some more wow-factor pieces in the final thing.

ITA with this. As soon as it was clear the judges thought Anya's was the worst, I knew they'd let in all 4.

I don't really like Viktor's, but he does look ready for the runway with some styling changes.

Anya looked like she had some far prettier fabrics than that long gold dress.

I did not like Josh's very much. The LBD wasn't bad.

Kimberly's butt skirt was really bad.
