    RT @EvgeniPlushenko:
Here's a video which sent to me: http://youtube.com/watch?v=sapPTvStTeU
Well, what can I say about it... I'm especially bitter, aware of the fact that Andrey Zhurankov @AZhurankov, pretending to the title of a sports journalist, which in itself should mean a certain level of professionalism, could understand all the mendacity which he told on Russian channel EUROSPORT 2 about me as a athlete and person, that is, he deliberately insulted my honor, dignity and reputation.
Sport - it's my life. Sporting achievements in the name of the glory of Russia - this is my religion. For me, it's not just words, it is the essence of all that I did and do in the sport. Violating the code of ethics of the journalist, Zhurankov slandered and insulted not only me, than also my entire team, including a genius coach Alexei Mishin, wonderful assistants, my fans in Russia and around the world.
Fact is so disgusting and transcends, that I'm not going to leave it just like that. In the end, there is a law, there is a court, in which I will defend my dignity of athlete and person.

Look at this video! The reporter said:

"There is a world in which Evgeni Plushenko king and god. The boundaries of this world are not determined or St. Petersburg, Russia nor ......

But ... it turns out that once again believe that we, the fans, journalists, as connected, in general, people have a right to Plushenko, what we have. Apparently, he had a different opinion - that he has ..." ( I used google translater :D)

    Finally

    http://fsrussia.ru/news/448_ot-federacii-figurnogo-kataniya-na-konkah-rossii-/

    From Russian Figure Skating Federation

Admiring the courage of the outstanding figure skater Evgeni Plushenko, and his desire to perform at his fourth Olympics in Sochi in 2014, RFSF in every way promotes his early return to the ice.

We consider speech of TV commentator A. Zhurankov, about state of Plushenko's health incorrect... We are fully on the side of Evgeni, in his desire to protect his honor and dignity.

Always maintaining good relations with the media, RFSF will work only with journalists that do not violate professional ethics.

New documentary about Zhenya and Yana.

Zhenya and Yana: Gold for Love
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NS0v-9uFg70&feature=player_embedded
some translating from let's talk http://evgeni-plushenko.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6&start=2170

    Dr. Pekarski (from 38')

Yesterday I had to scold him because last night he didn't take painkillers saying that the pain was not that strong enough.
(to Plushenko) You don't have to feel scared because I had already cut you. I am not planning to do it again.
(about Plu getting up from the bed) Yes, you may get up but you have to do it right way. What you did this morning wasn't right at all.
(about the medicine that Pu is not enjoying) I am sure it's not the worst liquid that you have ever drunk in your life.
I shall put the banner above your bed "Take the medicine on time!" If you don't feel pain, it doesn't mean that you shouldn't take pills.
(about the X-ray and the operation) Here you can see the artificial disc and four screws that are supporting it. If the screw moves closer to the center, the person will be paralyzed. If it goes deeper, it will end up in the out that might cause the internal bleeding and death.

    Plu

(from 02:30") Some people-bastards are writing that I internionally went to the cilnic just in order to cut my back while the operation on the disc itself has never happened.
(12:13") (about his second son's birth day) I didn't go to the birth of my son, I didn't want to. I was present at my first son's birth. This time I didn't want to. I was ready to be nearby but not in the birth chamber. When I saw my son first, he was lying on Yana's breast, he was so tiny and cute.
(16:20") (about his first son custody) I didn't want to lose my first son. I didn't want to see him only when I am "allowed to". That's not right.
(22:40") (about Yana) Yana is cool! She is my best friend. I am very proud of my wife and I am grateful to God that he sent me such a brain-woman, such a faithful friend and my love.

    Mishin (24:25")

(about Yana) I have been training Zhenya for almost 20 years. I've known a bunch of his women and girlfriends. I want to say that Yana is the most constructive woman in his life.

    Yana

(22:22" + 23:36") (about Plu) He is a very sentimental and kind person. I have never met such a kind, honest, sincere and true person ever. Probably that's why God put me through all those terrible difficulties in my life that I could finally meet the person like Zhenya, as some kind of reward that I should have earned.... I not just love him, I adore him. He is the person who gave me a fairy-tale. The life that I am living in now is a fairy-tale. I have never thought that I would be so happy.
(42') (about the baby) There was no single day that Zhenya didn't take part in bathing Sasha. He prepares the water, towels, bathes him and than diapers the baby carefully. That is a really touching picture to see. Sasha is a tiny copy of Zhenya... His family probably has very strong genes because his elder son Egor also looks like his father very much. Sasha is very quiet and not naughty at all. Probably he's gonna be an athlete too, like his father.
(26') (about the custody of her adopted son from the first marriage) Starting from the last year, patronized at that momet by Baturin, the biological mother of Andrei tried to do her best in order to "return" Andrei to her. The Baturin's plan was she took Andrei, then she legally gives up her motherhood and Andrei gets put in the orphanage. After that Baturin would ask for a bail to get out of prison on the ground that the child Andrei was left alone without parents or any guardians. It's impossibe to make a more cynical plan to get free/out-of-jail card.

Thank you for the translation! :)

If Yana gets the stamp of approval from Mishin, she must be alright. ;)

Sasha seems to be very treasured by both parents, especially because they each had custody problems with their older children. I don't quite understand the story about Yana's son, but it sounds awful.

After divorce Yana fought with Baturin for the older sons. Yana is not Andrei's biological mother, Yana adopted him. Baturin had a previous marriage, Andrei is their son. Baturin is now in jail because of tax evasion.

Moscow police rejected Plushenko's request against TV commentator Andrei Zhurankov http://rsport.ru/figure_skating/20130222/646931220.html … #figureskating

"I still can not comment on it in any way. Now I'm not in Russia, back, will observe, and then we'll decide what to do," - said Plushenko to agency "F-Sport" on the phone.

Perhaps you will have an imagine of what it feels like to be a fan of Plushenko..:)

"I found Zhenya late, after Vancouver, later than many other luckier fans. It was too late, but also not too late. In the last few years he has taught me so much, about art, about tolerance, about strength, about courage, about love. He is on an unimaginably difficult road, perhaps no one knows where it will lead. Yet I feel—I don’t care how ridiculous this sounds to more “objective” people—that it is a privilege for me to see him, and to share, no matter in how small a way, how distantly, how vicariously, that road."

    Police Reopen Plushenko Slander Probe

MOSCOW, February 27 (R-Sport) - Russian police said Wednesday they had reopened a slander investigation into claims figure skating champion Evgeni Plushenko faked a recent injury.

Plushenko withdrew from the European championships in Zagreb last month because of injury after finishing sixth in the short program, and his coach Alexei Mishin said the skater had undergone a back disc replacement at a clinic in Israel.

Earlier this month, Eurosport commentator Andrei Zhurankov said on air that Plushenko had faked the surgery for public relations purposes, prompting Plushenko to file a slander complaint to police.

Last week Moscow police dropped the case, citing a lack of evidence a crime was committed, but the investigation will now resume after a request from prosecutors.

“After the return of documents from the prosecutors’ office, the management of the investigative organization of the Moscow central police directorate will conduct an additional inspection of Plushenko’s complaint,” a statement from the police said.

A source in the prosecutor’s office told R-Sport’s sister agency RAPSI that “psychological-linguistic expertise” would be deployed in the renewed investigation.

Police said last week that specialized linguistic analysis in the original investigation of Zhurankov’s comments had not found evidence of a crime.

Plushenko has been publicly supported in his case by the Russian Figure Skating Federation, which branded the commentator's statement "inappropriate."

Defamation has been a criminal offence in Russia since July, when President Vladimir Putin reversed its decriminalization in December 2012 by then-President Dmitry Medvedev.

The offence carries a maximum fine of five million rubles ($165,000).

Allegations that Plushenko's back injury was faked had earlier surfaced in unsourced reports in the Israeli media last month. At the time, Plushenko's wife denounced the Israeli claims and posted photographs on the Internet of her husband lying in a hospital bed.

This is not the case in real life, he is the most popular and well-known skater in Europe, and he has a lot of fans in those countries where is not very popular or well-known sport the figure skating. for ex: Brasilia, Mexico, Greece, China, Taiwan. Not to mention Japan or Italy, where the FS is really a popular sport! Here many members hate him so much because he really was too perfect, too invincible, and his confidence wasn't sympatethic for all people, but I think, it needed to remain an unbeatable competitor. Many Plushy fans tired of FSU and IN.
He is a very inspiring personality, there are a lot of montages and videos on YouTube.

Yes, you are right. In the North-American media Plushy always had a little bit bad "presence", like in this video. Plushy's american fans are very angry because of it. But the people don't know exactly why Mishin liked better Plushy than Yag, and Americans only know what Alexei said.. I'm sure, Plushy was more Russian than Alexei. He is very proud Russian, but Yag almost moved to North-America, and the Americans know it.

    Mishin about their skating:

"I was asked many times: "You have such bright students as Urmanov, Yagudin, Plushenko. What is the difference between them?" I think Urmanov was perhaps the most elegant skater. Yagudin was the strongest physically and may be most emotional. But I think there hasn't been yet a figure skater in the world, who has such a wide diapason of creativity as Evgeni. That’s what makes him absolutely unique in modern figure skating."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmT5g_hSU4E this is a great NBC documentary about Plush.

He has to do both if Russia only earns 1 spot next year, and I think he's raring to do it! :smokin:

Seriously, this gives him the opportunity to pass the greatest Olympic Mens Figure Skater in history, Mr. Gillis Grafstorm, whom won 4 Olympic Medals in total (3 gold, 1 silver). Zhenya has the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to do it, but ONLY if he does both events, that is Team and Individual...
