Judging from the entry list, it looks like Ukraine has another pair: Usmantseva and Kulbach (former pairings being Usmantseva / Lysoy and Zabijako / Kulbach, who represented Estonia). It is also interesting to see Anna Khnychenkova, another former Ukrainian and then Hungarian pair skater, on the senior ladies roster...

to which competition this season polina s. was not assigned? :D
maybe someone should tell her, she´s not in tennis where you become worlds number 1 just by playing many events but lacking efforts at the big competitions :D

Hausch/Wende said they would indeed only skate nationals (source: themselves at Nebelhorn). And Yu-na Kin: I don't really believe that she will actually take part...

She should get the minimum TES for the worlds. She will be busy after December. The Korean national is on January, then she should work as an ambassader for the Special Olympics on February.

I heard Yuna Kim will submit an application to Golden Spin as the alternative, just in case she could not get the required TES numbers at NRW.

Ok, I see, I am just not sure about Kim coming back at all this season. I also wonder how many Korean press people will gamble on it and show up in Dortmund, should be fun to see!

Has anyone been to NRW singles/pairs before? If so, how much did tickets cost? There's nothing on the website to say.

Have they ever had presale before? I thought they would open their box office right before the event starts. At least last year they did so.

How much did they charge last year for an all event pass? Roughly?

Last time I went admission was still free of charge but I heard that afterwards they started charging EUR 5 a day. Not sure if that price will remain the same though considering the current entry list ;)

Organizers announced that the tickets are all sold out just within 6 and half hours after they opened the box office! They say it is totally unprecedented, WOW.

Hooe those who are going could post reports and some clips:)

That's what I've been thinking. I wish her training goes well enough to compete there and meet her loving fans!

In CZE team Michal BREZINA is replacing Pavle Kaska who is going to small surgery after Merano. So another increase in event quality.

Pavel will be OK, he only needs to take it easy before deciding Nationals two weeks later.

Come to think of it, singles event entries are more than enough to through a championship there:lol: So envy of those who are going!

S/S is on the senior pairs entry. Did they officially announce it or is it just for precaution? Anyways, I strike what I said above: The whole event is becoming like any championships! First Yuna, then Plushy, Artur, and Liza, and now S/S!:encore: Would it be possible that NRW trophy gets as much spotlight as GPF this year?

Yes S/S want to skate at NRW Trophy, but Aljona has to be healthy, so it's not 100% sure yet.
