Of course Sabine blinks when she has to serve to stay in the set...2nd MP for Kerber now.

    What a point

Kirilenko came back against Radwanska - Aggie did win that first set but had to fight for it - now it is going on serve 2nd set and it could go either way.

    Lisicki fighting for the tie-break!!

    SP for Sabine!
And misses. 6 all in the TB.
MP for Kerber now, amazing defense in that point..

    Saved again by Sabine!
Sabine wins the tie break 9-7, and onto a third set!
This is a fun contrast of styles. Now that Sabine's upped her game, it's been great to watch.

    That's a surprise
If Aga can't make the final here, I'm not sure if I can see her making another.

I want to like Aga, but she's so emotionless on court that I can't get behind her.

I don't know who I want to win

I know what you mean - and in the viedos I've seen of her off-court she's anything but. She needs to bring some of that to the match court, but I guess that's not how she wants to go about things.

I know! She can be hilarious. I remember that drawing she made of Jankovic one time. Even as a JJ fan, I was rolling.

I think Chris Evert has a girl crush on Maria Sharapova, judging by the way she goes on and on about her.

Also, I wonder if they should move the Azarenka/Paszek match to Center Court. It'll never get started otherwise, as it's raining again.

    Kerber serving for the match
    And she does it!
Way to stay solid despite missing MPs and having her own terrible attitude in the 3rd.
Kudos to both ladies, great match.

Lisicki and Kerber.. there isn't much love lost. Lisicki had a chance to win it. But you can tell the two don't really like each other. Reminds me of the Belgium rivalry

How did that change from 3-5 to 7-5 so quickly?!

    Anyway, Kerber :cheer2:

    Sabine :(

Germany is having a great Wimbledon with 2 men and women in QF, with an all german QF ensuring a german SFist.

I think Chris Evert admires Maria's mental strength. Also, Chris and Maria's personalities are very similar. Chris was a very intense player as is Maria.

Also, I think Chris Evert wants the women's game to be "legitimatized" and squash the talk about the women's game being weak, i.e. Maria is a multiple GS champion and maybe the most recognizable top player with the exception of Serena.

Kerber did well to get out of that match - but if Azerenka makes it through her game I suspect she could take Kerber!!

Vika is in the bottom part of the draw. Kerber will face the winner of the Radwanska/Kirilenko match.

I'm not sure if this was already posted, but Sania Mirza wrote a letter last week detailing her thoughts on the whole Olympics debacle concerning India's doubles teams:

    http://sports.ndtv.com/tennis/news/item/192513-sania-mirzas-letter-full-text

:respec: to Sania for such an eloquent, polite and yet biting letter.

I think I'd :scream: if I was in her position, stuck between Bhupathi, Paes and the AITA.

It's funny how the announcers are acting like Vika has just completely fallen apart after the Aussie Open.

Her record this year is 38-4.

I found this picture of Vika as a kid. Look at that face :)

Which one do you think is Vika?

Oops - ok that makes it a different kettle of fish - could be any of those 3 making the final. However I see the winner of the title coming out of the bottom half of the draw.

I know. She reached the finals of both Stuttgart and Madrid. The 4R at the FO is disappointing but clay is her worst surface. It's hardly a poor record.

Hmmm, body wise, Maria K looks alike Anna Kournikova. :slinkaway

    Plays like her too.

Maria K does look stronger. She's lean but you can see the muscle tone.

I'm drawing a blank in regards to the last top 25 Austrian women's tennis player.

    Does anyone recall any?

Oh - that is so unfair - Kirilenko-Radwanska suspended overnight - I hope they are allowed on first thing on Center before the men to complete it!! Especially as Azerenka-Paszek has already been moved to Center!!
