I don't see a thread about the NBA, so I decided to start one. We are already in the second round/semifinals of the playoffs and my Phoenix Suns, at 3-0 against San Antonio, are on the verge of making it to the Western Conference Finals against the Lakers. I am not counting my chickens yet though. The San Antonio Spurs have broken our hearts four times in the past, and I hope this is not just another way of breaking our hearts. If they do, it will have to be in game 7. I am hoping for a sweep of the Spurs; they play tomorrow (Sunday).

LeBron James looks like he is the next Michael Jordan. Still, I have doubts about the Cleveland Cavaliers winning the NBA title this year. Orlando Magic looks like the best team in the Eastern Conference right now, and in the west the Lakers are the defending champions who always find a way to win, like they did against Utah tonight. Of course I am rooting against them, since they play against Phoenix.

I went to the Suns first two playoff games against the Spurs and it was a blast each time. I love this team. Their offfense, defense, chemistry, bench performance, entertainment value are all out of this world, and I am very proud because at the start of the season many people picked them to miss the playoffs entirely.

Go Suns! Please keep Kobe out of the finals!! However, I was a bit disappointed in their defense in game one. It looked nowhere near as strong as it did before. I'm hoping it was an aberration and they will bring it vs. the Lakers in Game 2.

Man, the Lakers look too good. I can't stand Kobe, but he's undeniably the best.

Well, he did have that rape trial. :shuffle: I do like Phil Jackson though and all his Zen-ness.

Anyway, Kobe and his team look unbeatable, but I'm hoping the Celtics win a couple at home.

I am rooting for the Celtics in the finals but it may be tough against the Lakers. It's tied 2-2 right now.

Every time I attempt to give up on the Celtics, they win a game. I still don't expect them to win this series, though.

I'm hoping the Celtics can close it out tonight. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, but it's looking pretty good for them with the last couple games.

See, this is why I wanted Boston to win! ;) (and I'm from LA)

Anyway, congratulations to the Lakers, but, why, oh why do this, Angelinos? :(
