    Yes and yes.

According to Wikipedia, 25% of men begin balding by 30, and 4 in 7 men will have the baldness gene, so he'll have plenty of company, even if the numbers without citation have shifted. Plus he'll get it over with faster.

With a face like that, he doesn't need hair.

Judging by the position of his free leg and shoulders, I'd say they are entering a pair spin and hence the depth of edges/leg lines.

Glad to see that she seems to be happy. Hopefully this was a good decision for both of them.

They may need to grade that 25% on the curve for Figure Skating.

Seems to me, Men skating US Pairs have a somewhat higher than average number. IMHO of course.

It's a cruel cruel sport. The French Fed wanted to shake things up for a while now. Adeline Canac could not land her jumps to save her life. Bonheur was the weakest link of the partnership. So, you bring the strongest skaters together. DG was very active behind close doors to get this done. They are skating in Paris today, so I am sure that we will see pictures soon.

James/Coia had a try-out...they have to decide if they wanna pursue it. In my opinion, they would be crazy not to do it, especially if Steuer wants to take them.

    translation from my autotranslator

I think something was lost in translation. I have this image of Maria rolling around on the ice as Blanchard stands there with a haughty gallic yawn.

Oh my !!! :eek:A dream team.:D It's been said on FSU several times, DG maybe listen to us !!!:hat1:
For sure they would be great together, strong skaters with artistic qualities, both very reliable. They can reach the top together.

Now they can pair up Canac and Bonheur !!! Ok just kidding, I'm already deconnected !

Good luck to them! What with the country change, how long will it be before they can compete on the GP? At Euros? At Worlds?

BTW, are Stanislav and Nikolai related at all?

12 months since Tatiana's last competition for Ukraine I guess (it was Olympics), so they can compete at Worlds.
And no, Stanislav and Nikolai aren't related

Correct translation: Maria shared the ice with Jerome for a year. Although the skaters didn't skate together before, they know each other well (both skating-wise and personally).

They can´t. If the new qualification minimum score rules applied, they have no chance to get them in any international competition!

Stupid question: can a country have them as guests at their National Championships? German or French Nats for example? Is there a rule against that?

OMG. :wall: Yet another reason to be  :angryfire :revenge: at ISU for their idiotic congress proposals.

    Those aren't ISU events.

Maybe they could do the Challenge Cup - would it count? Because that's in March, so more than a year after Tatiana's last event representing Ukraine. There are also some smaller events listed in communication 1612 that will take place in the second half of February. If these are not an option, would they be able to use their scores with their previous partners? I mean, isn't that the rule in place for skaters who pair up with new partners in terms of GP eligibility?

Also - will the rules passed at the Congress go into effect immediately, or will the implementation take a while?

Oh well, they can always make their debut at the WTT.

If there is any international event in the ISU calendar that features Pairs and is a year after Tatiana's last appearance then yes.

Pairs events usually get cancelled because of lack of entries, though. :(

I'm sure the Russian Fed will find somebody who'll play along if participation in a B event ends up being the only thing standing between V/T and Worlds. I checked Wikipedia (I know, I know) and there was no senior pairs event at the Challenge Cup in the past, but there was one year they had novice pairs with only one entry.

Yeah, if it comes down to that I am sure that Russian Fed could even do something like organise their own ISU Pairs event before Worlds and have a number of their own teams participate so that it counts.

Could there be an exception for previous high ranked teams who have new partners/coming back from retirement like there is for the GP?
