Wow thanks for the good news! Wonder what they're gonna talk about
"Power Player of the Week"! Awesome. I think it's the last feature in the hour.
Thanks for posting this!! I missed the first 30 minutes, but am recording the rest.....hope I get to see Michelle
She was lovely and more articulate than ever. Graduate school and traveling as an envoy has made a huge difference. Future political office was mentioned.
I saw it too. I believe it wil be rebroadcast at 2 and 6 (EST)
I will have to watch tonight. My mom heard it this morning and thought Michelle sounded great (my mom knows next to nothing about her except that she missed the OGM twice and that she was a brilliant skater).
There's a transcript of Chris Wallace's interview with Michelle Kwan on this page: http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/fox-n...e-debate-obama-romney-economic-records?page=7
Oh no, I missed it. She sounds very articulate in the transcript.
It's great to see her so happy at this stage of her life. She seems really committed to her work with the Special Olympics and Youth Fitness and excited about the opportunities available to her.
Power Player! Good to see she was a saver and could do non paying work that shew wants to do. Interesting that she said her skating career involved selfishness and having people help her and now she helps people.
Well, skating singles IS about the skater. I think that's what she meant.
Please run for ISU president Michelle
No, she needs to be the IOC president!
Didn't catch the show, but after reading the transcript she sounds very happy and excited about things to come. Good for her!
Oh yes !
You can watch it here:
What a gal....
Thanks for posting! I miss seeing Michelle so much! And I miss the good old days of US ladies skating!!!!!!
I APPROVE THIS MESSAGE!
She's terrific. America has much to be proud of in her.
Very proud of her and her desire to help others and all her wonderful accomplishments but...the turning the page on skating - still stings! Witnessing her skate I'm sure has helped many people and inspired them too (me for one!)...so miss her presence. But of course want her to be happy.
Missed her skating. Happy for her that she's doing well.
I missed it because I was judging the Califorina Championships at her Father/s rink in Artesia. Her Fathers watched the interview in the rink loby and thought it was a good interview.
I thought you all would want her to be the President of the United States?
When she decides to run. I want to be her campign manager.
One step at a time, one want to be realistic with these things
Why wouldn't she run for POTUS? Eventually, that is. It would probably help to be elected to another public office first.
But it seems to me that her ambitions point to an ambassordorship to China.
Love her! She´s just amazing
Kinda off topic but i just read a preview of 2008 olympic champion gymnast Shawn Johnson´s book and she said that Michelle sent her a sweet text in Beijing the night after she didn't win the all-around gold. Shawn said it felt like Michelle was the only person in the world who really understod how it feels to not win and get a silver medal instead. I thought this was cute and one more reason to love Michelle!
If Hillary couldn't grab the nomination for her party, I doubt that MK could either...
Spinner and I were on twitter talking about this, and he said of course she don't need to be POTUS since she's the KWEEN. Then after we went back and forth about what the acronym should stand for, he came up with this brilliant solution:
Kwan's World Empire, Effective Now
Assuming Kwan seeks a Dem nomination.
How many women have the Republicans nominated for POTUS?
What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? Just because they never have doesn't mean they never will.
Hilary was a Dem of course. Perhaps MK is a Republican? Whatever party, she wouldn't stand a chance because she is not the right gender...
Thanks for posting this. What a sweet thing for Michelle to do.
Honorable Michelle Kwan, Ambassador of the United States
Honorable Madam Kwan
All sounds cool!
