Kevin Reynolds Fan Thread
I think he deserves one. Go Kev!!
Yes, go Kevin!
Yes, I do too. He has come a long way but is finally getting some recognition. I hope he keeps on improving. The 4CC win was a huge step and shows that he could be a contender for the podium in the future.
I am a fan too, esp., based on all the hard work he has done to try and improve his skating, it is finally starting to show his artistry has improved and his technical side has become more consistent and I am thrilled for him and myself as a fan when he can put it all to-gether in a good performance. Go Kevin, be the best skater you can be, and you can count on me to applaude your efforts!
Today on CBC @ 4 p.m. EST, the men's and pairs free from 4CC in Japan is scheduled to be on. Just passing that along here since I saw the thread for Kevin.
Watching it right now!
He certainly has come a long way, as his 4CC skate proved. Two years ago I would never have imagined that he could skate well enough to justify a legitimate fan thread. The musicality was always there, but not the ability to express it. That has improved so much.
If he can develop some speed and power (as the CBC commentators said) he will be a legitimate world podium threat. That won't happen this year, but it just might happen in the next year or two.

Repost from GSD thread:
From Kevin's Facebook on February 13th:
"Back home! Thank you all for your incredible support. The last few days in Osaka passed by like a dream... There have been times in my career where even I doubted myself, but throughout all the ups and downs, I remember all the people that believed in me. You gave me the strength to believe in myself, and now I have achieved something far greater than I could have ever expected. I will never forget this week. Now, back to training, and on to the World Championships in Canada! I can't wait!! ヾ(*’▽’*)"

I like the way he moves his arms. He's very musical, and for a tall skinny guy, he's not all knees and elbows.
Kevin is a very good boy, he followed the advice
That was cool and thanks for the link. My only question is was Plushy actually wishing Kevin a happy birthday, or was it directed toward someone else? Just curious.
Plushy wishing Kevin a happy birthday!! In last summer Kevin's Russian fans asked Plushy, because Plushy is Kevin's role model. (After Kevin won the 4CC championships, he told he wanna be like Plushy, but he's not sure if he really can!)
Well please pass along my thanks to Plushy for such a nice birthday wish to Kevin. I'm sure if Kevin sees it, it would certainly brighten his day.
Kevin saw it.
Plushy is an original and so is Kevin. Keep going Kevin!
Do you remember his reaction, lala?
I know only this:
Go Kevin, and get to where you want to be
Good luck to Kevin on his forthcoming Worlds. You can do it, Kev.
LOL for those who can't read, when they asked where Kevin and Rudi are going, they said "Pokemon Center".
I know Kevin is a video game fan but that's so awesome!!
This was absolutely hilarious! The reaction of the people on the show was screamingly funny. They just couldn't believe it!
Best of Luck at Worlds Kevin!!! Hope you do well!
If there is anyone here who understands Japanese, could you give us an idea of what they were saying? Still laughing about this!
he did great!!
Japanese fan sitting next to me was practically orgasmic after Kevin's skate .. apparently he's a big deal with Japanese teenage girls He was practically perfect Kevin today .. just a turn out on his 2nd quad
so impressed with Kevin tonight....and the crowd was totally behind him. It's a wonder he could hear his music. Good luck to him in the long. I hope he nails everything
Kevin did good can't believe he's in third. It's great. Hope he has a great LP but I feel sorry for you if he does and you are sitting by the same person
If you look at mangas catered to Japanese teenage girls, Kevin's styling with the hair is pretty much their idealistic dreamy prince image.
I hope Kevin rocks it on Friday!!!!
WTG Kevin. Really pleased with his skate -- and unlike some, I actually like his music for the short. Swinging with Kevin!
^^ he does have a very anime character look about him!
I love his music too. I think it's the best thing he's done.
Geez, I hope not. She's in her 40s and it was downright embarrassing and somewhat icky. OTOH, it would be a great story to tell!
Worlds short program:
Short program press conference highlights:
I'm proud of him that he fought for it. 5th place ain't too shabby.
No kidding that it isn't too shabby, considering he was 12th at worlds last time. That's a huge leap upward, and he wasn't even at his absolute best. Congratulations to him!
