http://t.co/1oBN19BK quad + triple toe + double toe
All I think about is...Requiem for a Dream! Yay!
I have to eat my top hat now.
The first quad looks cheated (although hard to tell from that video) but still, I didn't expect him to really take his training seriously again.
Hopefully he can keep this up.
I really hope he carries this through. I miss his skating.
Wouldn't it be funny if at the end of the day, Weir and Lysacek end up being the mens competitors for the US at Sochi?
Yep, bit of a wild free leg, but hey, more power to him if he can land them consistently in competition!
Actually I think a combination of clean and inspired Weir and Lysacek at Worlds 2013 can probably get the third spot back for US men.
(Although I think unless Abbott gets his act together, my very prelim prediction for the US world team for 2013 is Lysacek and Farris)
Forgive me if I've missed it, but has Weir made an announcement about competing next year? Or is he ramping up for the year after?
I would imagine Weir would really enjoy being able to compete in Russia in 2014.
Yes. Johnny made the announcement awhile back.
Wild free leg, more height needed. Practice practice practice.
good on Johnny. i like that he is attempting them of some steps, and not just going straight down the ice... transitions are the key!
Is Johnny still training with Galina? or is he having a new coach?
He is with Galina.
Is that his competition music he is skating to? Impressive. Appears he is quite serious about his return.
what music is it? im at work and had to watch with the sound off...
I thought it was RFAD
Galina + Nina + RFAD? I don't like that equation.
I thought he said he was going to skate to Carmen (which would be even worse than RFAD)
It's great that Johnny posts these training videos! I love to see how he is doing!
haha, the soundtrack of drug addicts.. always makes me laugh.
Now that would be a dream come true!
Same grace, same flow over the ice, same beautiful carriage and body positioning. Looks good!
The first half was something else, not RFAD.
Give me "The Swan" and "Otonel" with 4T-3T combos and transitions IN COMPETITION and I will be impressed. Otherwise, I've moved on to Chan, whom you refer to as the "young boy", old man, and Fernandez.
He looks a bit heavy and not reactive enough, though elegant.
Good for Johnny, he is looking good. YAY!!!!
haha, that would be just FAB!
the first quad looks suspicious, but that 4-3-2 combo is impressive. I really didn't expect it. but I really hope it was just a background music, not the music he plans to use in competition. RFAD and Sarabande - plz no!
Looks a little under rotated in both, he likes to hook out of his harder jumps.
Also, it's a whole other ball game doing it in a solo.
